I will be running a tuned piggyback for fuel enrichment and remapped ignition timing .
Ductile iron sleeves?? This aint no honda with the floating deck bud!!;) and no oring . I chose not too because of the gasket material and design.
As a matter of fact the mazda block is much stronger than i even gave it credit for when i took it apart and blueprinted it for the forged internals.
I have a good idea. Come to spoolins open house in july. I and many from the jersey area will be coming down your way to meet and go to virginia. Then we can take a looksy at the setup :)

Thas right!! ;) FS motor.....IRON BLOCK!!!!!!!!! :D :D

No I didnt checked for that...but oil is fine...and al other pistons are giving good readings. The manual says:

-if the compression in adjacent cylinders stays low, the cylinder head gasket may be damaged or cylinder head distorted and overhaul is required.
Check the picture....

Check your coolant. You may find oil. I think you have a blown headgasket like others are suggesting. If you broke a rod or piston you'd probably hear some god-awful sound comming from under the hood. Pray its just a headgasket...

I dissagree. A broken piston will not make any noise at all. They brake in the piston ring separations and most of the time, if you dont run the car too long, just changing that piston will do it. Usually the block will not suffer.

If he had a broken rod, thats another issue. The motor will not even crank.

this assumption is correct in my opinion.
but the disassembly will give you proof. cant wait to hear the results of the engine disassembly

however its not the case in all instances:)

Update:

I still have not opened the engine, but turbo is out.

1. Next week i will be getting another 2002 2.0L FS engine for $700 out of a wrecked car.
2. Will fix the turbo and wait for the new mani from Terry
3. Will replace the pistons and rods using the ones from the 2nd engine and Going back to N/A on the stock engine. (new bearings)
4. Will install turbo on that 2nd engine with the forged pistons and rods.
5. Wait for the standalone unit from Terry or the piggyback from perfworks.
6. Remove and store my stock engine and Install turbo engine to get boosted again.

This will be my proyect....I hope this goes good.
:D

what about greyish smoke??? off topic but kinda on it, i had my car parked on a slope (not too bad) head first and after about 5 mins of idling it started pouring out gray smoke, didnt really smell like anything, it was a kinda cold night....cars been smoking gray the whole night...

SPARE ENGINE ARRIVED

Taken from a totaled Protege ES 2002 Automatic. It came with everything (exhaust mani, injectors, 02 sensor...everything)
