Kill your Turkey V.2

ok cool, ya I don't want it quieter, I just thought that when I start tuning it, it might throw the numbers off and I might end up having some stalling issues, as well as once I up the boost when I tune, but that's good, thanks for the reply

where is your vac source coming from? if it is not a dedicated line run a dedicate line from the brake booster, that may help

I don't know if it can really eliminate the turkey, I think I still have a little turkey. I have a different turbo, bov, relocated maf, everything that would help eliminate it but still there. sort of.

hey guys, I just switched to a fmic kit and reloacted the MAF and stuck the HKS bov v2 on the hot pipe, before it was a loud, smooth bov sound that I was use to with the HKS, and now it seems at lower boost like normal shifting, and around 0-4psi about, the bov flutters/turkeys a little, instead of the full woosh/chirp, I have seen on a few threads that the HKS v2 will tend to flutter more, but I dono, it's still compression surge right? I remember seeing a vid of the same kinda sound when someone switched to the fmic, how can I fix that, should I just buy another bov and stick it on the cold pipe before the MAF(so I can still vta and the MAF is still in between the bovs and the TB) any suggestions before I look to go buying another HKS?

I am about to buy a cold pipe- pre welded from s t r e e t u n i t . c o m, a whole bunch of 3/16 vac line, and an HKS BOV. My question is there are 4 different kinds of HKS availible now. Any Idea whether the v2, which is unadjustable, or the v1, which i can adjust, or the v3 (don't even know) is a better turkey killer?

im not positive but logically it seems the adjustable would be better so you can control when it discharges which allows you to fine tune everything so that you can make sure you get rid of it

What are these two vac lines/plug for? (Mounted on the cold pipe) Do you just mount them somewhere else when the hardpipe is installed? (Mine is on the way)

I personally like the v2, just drop it in and drive, and really if you want to adjust them, just remember you'll be adjusting it to release at full boost, so anything less your likely to turkey I would think.. the thing I like about the v2, is that it treats whatever boost you release at as full boost, and really I noticed I really only get a very slight chirp/flutter when im at boost under 1-2psi, other than that its great, and actually I had realized that the sound that I was hearing wasn't really a turkey like it use to be, but rather a flutter

Pic 2 is right. Pic 1 is the right line but don't put your tap that close to the booster. Feel around for the check valve and put your tap on the engine side of it.
