I just bought my MP3 and I have to contact the previous owner to get the Kenwood MP3 Player Code. Does anyone know where to get that or how to reset it? He is out on vacation for 2 weeks. When you take the battery off the MP3 player is locked and is asking for a code. In the book it says not to forget the code.

Let me know if anyone has a clue

Thanks Matt

if its liek pioneer then each head unit has its own code, try calling kenwood and giving them your model number andstuff on the head unit, your mazda dealer may be able to reset the code.

Prolly have to call kenwood, I imagine. The previous owner as well. Anyone else have any information or had an experience with this?

I hav ehad the battery disconnected but it never asked for a code. As for an answer I do not know. Sorry i could not help at this time, but I will get ahold of my delaership(pretty good people) and see if i can get you some answers

on the factory kenwood head unit, you'll have to call the previous owner for the code. The code has to be input by the owner. It doesn't come with one until said owner comes up with one and decides to use it.

try 0000 like charles said, sometimes that is the factory preset, at least it was on my old kenwood mask unit.

Thanks much! I will try it if my Battery gets disconnected. Right now when the Kenwood deck comes on it says CODE = OFF

if it says code off, then you're good to go. just don't set one, unless you can remember it!
