That sounds like an amazing crash, glad to hear you walked away from it so easily. I hope the MSP will be fixable but if not, well we shall have to see what happens. But glad to hear you are ok man.

Not a chance in hell of it getting fixed. The roof is caved in, the passenger side is completely FUBAR. The trunk lid is dangling off, the rear suspension is completely messed up....need I say more?

To put it simply...there is not a single body piece that isn't mangled.

Jesus, the beginning of the thread really worried me. I'm glad I read to the end.

You're safe, Justin. All that matters. That, and getting the bastard who was driving like a chode. Any info on him?

wow. GLAD to see you ok.

what were the other drivers cited for. any idea?
you werent cited, were you?

Glad you're ok bro... so what's next? Gonna try and get another msp, or are they repairing it?

 Dang. I'm glad you remembered your seatbelt and stuff.

I'm amazed again at how well the Protege protects people in a wreck. Vic flew down a long, long hill and I don't remember him getting hurt too badly either...The MSP is still at the bottom of the hill, I think. Too hard to get to it with a tow truck.
Another guy named Domingo went off the cliff near hwy9 going 90MPH! He walked away unscathed, and now drives a Titanium 03.5. :)

[/end babble] I'm just stoked that you're OK, Justin. Even if the car's gone, hopefully you'll hang out. This club needs levelheaded, cool Mods like you! (drinks)

Damn the parkway and new jersey drivers. Glad to see you are doing well justin. I have had a few close calls on the parkway myself. It sux that you lost your car though, but cars are replacable lives aren't. I would cruise down sunday to wish you the best in person, but unfourtunately i have to work. Even though I am not part of mtma and i really don't know you i still think it would be cool to cruise with other mazda guys. Anyway feel better man and maybe I will catch you at an event in the summer.

no Msprotege.com is buying his car lol. They goin to get him an rx-8

bwahaha

But seriously, RX-8 is a strong possibility for my next car if I can get a killer deal on one. I really want to stay a member of the Mazda family.

Mazda has saved my life today...no doubt.

Glad to see you are still here with us. Sorry about the car but your life is more important. Hope you get feeling better soon...

Thanks guys for the kind wishes. I am home from the ER now, in some pain but alright...just a bit shaken up. Here is what happened --

I was in the left hand lane on the Parkway (3 lane highway) behind someone doing 10mph under the speed limit. People behind me were whipping around to get in front of the idiot. I waited until the middle lane was clear, signalled, checked my blind spot, and proceeded to move over to the center lane to pass. When I was halfway into the center lane, somebody from the right hand lane decided to move over to the center. The front driver's side quarterpanel of his car hit the rear passenger side quarter panel of my car. This spun me to the right, and I tried to countersteer to regain control. I did, partially, but not before hitting a car in the right hand lane while still going sideways. After I hit him, I again lost complete control, and skidded sideways towards the shoulder. I hit the dirt on the side of the road still going sideways, and started rolling. I counted 4 rolls, a witness said he counted at least 5. I also hit a small tree (about 10" diameter trunk) while in mid-air. No, the tree did not win, as it is knocked down ;). I then came to a stop, right-side up. I had to kick the door to get out, as it was wedged pretty good.

It is incredible that I walked away with just some bumps, cuts, and bruises. I'm still pretty shaken up, but everyone that was involved in the accident (4 cars total) is OK. I don't know where my car is, I was taken away in an ambulance before the tow trucks arrived.

I had a long series of tests at the hospital to rule out any internal injuries, I got some deeper cuts glued together (no stitch removal :) ), and they sent me home with some good painkillers.

Once I find out where my car is, and get to it so I can remove my belongings, I will take some pictures of the car for you to see. It is really bad...the passenger side is partially folded in (from hitting the tree), the roof is caved in, my spoiler and side skirts flew off and landed about a hundred feet from the car.
good to hear your ok man.(thumb)

Holy crap. I can't believe another one bites the dust. Now I'll never get to see what those shifter bushings feel like.

That guy who hit you better be liable. The parkway is nuts dude, I avoid it at all costs. I'm not sure where you are but up by me it's congested as hell and 5 narrow-ass lanes. A-hole drivers everywhere and a tool booth every 2 feet.

Yes, it looks like MSP's handle roll-overs quite well. I'm surprised you were able to count rolls. When I rolled (once) it was over before it even started. I didn't even realize I was upside down until after a few seconds went by.

Take care of those bumps and bruises. Getting a new car can wait until you're less shaken up. I remember you were looking at a WRX a few months ago but maybe a MazdaSpeed 6 would be a good choice. It just depends on how long it is before they release it.

Even though I'm not in MTMA, I'll try to make it out on Sunday.
