Lol well if you'd come around more often jagan. And we may see your car on march 5th when me and simon go to draco to dyno the msp and simons mp5t....there will be other cm members there too.

And simon....get that s*** together

Wow man...Just took about 7 hours of my 8 hour workday to read this thread. I REALLY wanna boost my car. How the fawk did you sink 8 grand into your car with NO JOB? And by now it' much more than 8 g's.

I must say props for a job well done thus far. Bronze wheels are dope in my opinion. I'll be keeping my eyes on this thread to see your progress.

Nice one brotha! That setup is looking sweet! The pie cuts looks like a head ache to do. I wish i knew how to weld or even to have a welder to learn. haha. Keep up the good work man. Always staying tune to what's next.

Thanks guys, and yea...your right, the pie cuts are kind of a headache, but its the ony way I can clear the exhaust around the radiator hose andthe intercooler piping. I like welding though, so its cool haha

and to the job question...i originally had a job, saved up some money, bought some parts, then got some money for my 18th bday, graduation, and some from my family in europe...sort of like a trust fund type deal. That money really only paid for the internals and machine work, everything else came out of pocket by selling parts or working.

Today I cut the old bung off the oil pan, ground it all down, and re welded it. Turned out awesome, should def. not leak...like last time. Completely cleaned out the oil pan, ground off all the old gasket with a flap wheel, and test fitted the oil drain line. Fits pretty good just have to cut the hose down a little bit to clear the exhaust. Also made a bracket for my AEM wideband wires, should look awesome when im done. I took alot of pics with my phone for some reason, so I have to upload those on my other computer.

yea ill def prob be there :)
they want me to be there
but unfortunatly my car wont be running by then :( prob by end of march if everything goes well

this car looks amazing and i was wondering how u like the ground controls cause i was thinking about getting them so my car can go lower then just 2 inches

thanks guys, the ground controls are OK, they are good for getting low easily. The ride is pretty bumpy though, not too bad...i got used to it
Im selling mine here soon, as I just got full coils for the car. There being a pain in the ass to get on since I bought them used. First the perch wouldnt rotate so I had to cut a relief in it so all the dirt could get out, then I realized he sent them to me with the front hub mounts on the back coils and vice versa, so now I have to switch those out. And to top it all off, the hub mount that goes on the front needs to be bored out since the threads are hitting the inside...but they were cheap, and they look like they have potential to go pretty low so ill go with it.

Also, pretty much made my mind up that im not going to replace the oil squrter right now, I need to get my car running so ill just take it easy on the car until summer, then take the time to pull the engine and trans out and do a complete engine check, re torque everything, check the cyls, maybe replace the clutch and flywheel...depending on the money situation

Alright so I guess everyone is saying is true an not to get them and just get some real coilovers then I'd. Want to realy drop my car and have it fr performance wise

^yea, full coils are the way to go, fit one of mine on today and took a pretty crazy picture..there sick

Btw.. What kind of turbo is that?

Garrett T3/T4E .48AR w/ STG III compressor wheel, originally ordered stage 2 wheel, but it was out of stock, so they called and said they would upgrade for free and ship it out the same day lol worked for me

edit: here we go

what it used to look like before.....massive suspension droop

also re welded he oil pan, looks like doo doo, but i went over each bead like 3 times lol no leakage here

edited my last post with pics..and also forgot to mention, my heat wrap showed up today. At least I thought it did, opened the box and it was heat wrap spray :( Idiots sent me the wrong thing...gotta deal with that in the morning

Thats sick I realy wish I got coilovers but hey my shocks and springs will work for now but did u get the yellow speed coilovers that looks amazing

nah, I got toser coilovers...never heard of them, but I bought them used off the forum and they look pretty nice. Im going to be doing alot of work on the car today, and hopefully ill have a running video by tonight for you guys :D

OMG !!!!! its insane to think of everything this car and driver have been through... Excellent build and dedication man !!!!!!

started and finished the bracket for the wastegate, put the oil pan and return line on, bought paint to spray the stock wheels and the IC pipes, bought distilled water for the coolant.

Now tomorrow all I have to do is run the AEM wires through the firewall, fill up the coolant, fill the oil, replace the filter, and crank it up for the first time :D.
I have some left over heat wrap from my exhaust (old stuff) so Im going to just wrap the coolant line in that to make sure it doesnt melt lol
