well i drove it like 5 miles around my neighborhood and....i have an oil/coolant leak on the turbo
the idle is really bumpy, sounds like i have cams, im thinking its a vacuum leak since the CEL just came on
builds boost like crazy in 3rd, sounds like a jet engine lol i still have to go to advanced auto to get some more vaccuum hose and a code reader, i still dont have the boost gauge hooked up so im trying not to drive it that much, im getting my gf to drive
 
thanks bud, and im sure it will, i dont even have an intake on the turbo right now so its kinda quiet, once i put some aluminum pipe on there it should be like an amplifier lol

im just glad to have my car running, ill post videos later on tonight once i get the code checked
 
wow man awesome...congrats.... its sounds like a jet engine because you have no air intake...it wont once you get an intake..

lol, I figured. On my car is made it a bit louder, and made the turkey very obvious, if you'll have any anyways.

but yea im doing a "hard break in" go part throttle to like 3k and then coast down, do a couple times, lots of engine breaking etc.
if it runs the first 2 miles then it should run the rest is the way i see it

but im going easy on it after 20 miles of hard break in, till 500 miles at least
 
i read that hard break in process. that's exactly how i broke my car in. it worked like a charm. no issues here.

im about to go out today to try and fix this dam vacuum leak or whatever it is
it can be
1. Spark plus, i didnt gap them cuz i forgot
2.Vacuum leak, i need a new PCV rubber gasket that goes into the valve cover
3.EGR, one of the bolts is messed up so i cant tighten it all the way, im going to switch my bottom half of the intake mani in and see if that helps

idk if i should go to advanced auto first and get the code read or not, it would help me figure it out, but i still dont have a bumper lol im having a hard time getting it to fit
 
just got the code read
random cylinder missfire, so its def the spark plugs that need to be gapped and then i should be set

at least i know the ecu is working lol
i still have leaks in some places but they are small leaks so im not too worried about them

2.Vacuum leak, i need a new PCV rubber gasket that goes into the valve cover THERE MAY BE A HISSING SOUND IN THAT AREA BUT IT IS MOST LIKELY COMING FROM THE FUEL LINE CONNECTION NEAR THE FPR... IT IS WEIRD BUT NORMAL I SWAPPED A DIFFERENT ONE IN TO MAKE SURE.

ok thanks for the heads up, i still dont know what it is, i disconnected the battery and the code went away, gapped the plugs, and it still idles rough
sometimes it acts like its about to die and i have a feeling its the EGR, since i cant tighten it all the way to the manifold
this is really pissing me off cuz i have to leave to go back to charlotte tomm and i need to get this fixed TODAY
 
ok so i found the problem, one of my injectors is just ****** pouring out fuel, idk why
its not pouring fuel into the cylinders, just leaking it onto the intake mani, i tryied fixing it once and it didnt work
idk what to do
 
so you have an injector o ring leak?? go to advance and get new o rings, use petroleum jelly to install them. you should be good to go.
 
yea, figured it out when i pulled the injector out and the o ring was all deformed
i already have them on order, they didnt have it at the local store
but while i was at advanced i picked up a PCV gasket rubber thing, mine was broke and i was using RTV lol so thats fixed now, also got the bumper on, had to cut a shitload but it looks ok
 
I have had a random misfire for months now...I did replace the O-Rings, but used ones from another motor I had...I think I will try this and possibly new injectors as well...I am running super rich although I still get about 25 MPG...the back of my car is black...
