Now I'm frustrated. Not only by my dealer, but my lying 18 year old daughter!
Anybody looking for a perfect Protege 5, or a 18 year old girl? Both reasonably priced.

I'll need pics of the CAR!

I LOVE this car!

Just a few things I love so far.

The HID lights..and they're adjustable? Cool!

The turning radius! This thing does U-turns on a dime and it's much easier to park than my old car.

The auxiliary input for the stereo and the second electric plug. You mean I can charge my phone AND my iPod at the same time without an adapter? Cool!

The seats! Nice and supportive!

I've only gotten to stretch its legs out a few times so far as I don't know where the good roads are around here yet. It handles better than anything I've owned, except for my motorcycle. Obviously, I'm having a lot of fun driving it, but I also enjoy its looks. The Mazda3 sloping hatch was always a design winner for me (I'm a geek). The car feels big enough inside, but it's obvious when I try to park it and get out of it that it's much smaller than my last car.

I know people have complained about the Bose stereo, but this thing kicks ass compared to my old stereos. I've never owned a car newer than a '92. In my old Dodge Dynasty, I used a DC-to-AC converter and a SRS Wow Thing to create synthetic surround sound that was actually pretty cool, if horrifically geeky looking. The Bose still sounds richer. It's not really a 'premium' sound system, but it's workin' for me.

LOL, that is kinda funny...

Stretching credibility, even. Wouldn't they say okay, we'll do you a favor and call the junkyard? Can't imagine they actually take that on a trade. Another credibility stretcher is the ordered MS3 with a moonroof. It's not an option at this point. Did you mean on a regular 3 or are you goofing with us?

Anyway, assuming you are, in fact, not goofing with us, congrats on the red GT! Let us Sport owners know how the Bose, rain-sensing wipers, etc., are. I keep waivering back and forth on whether I should have waited for a GT or not.

Okay...I KNOW the sunroof isn't supposed to be an option, but on the original car on which I put my deposit, both the dealer and the Mazda representatives said it had a 6-disc and moonroof/sunroof package. Of course, I still haven't seen that car and I've since jumped on the Red GT, since I really don't WANT a sunroof, I just didn't want the Nav package that the Raleigh dealer had.

As for my trade-in, they gave me a whopping $200, because in spite of the rust and the mileage, it was in fairly good shape considering. For reference, I only PAID $100 for the thing - I got it when I was unemployed through one of my mother's elderly clients who wanted to do her a favor. Before I bought that car, I got around on a Suzuki SV 650 motorcycle (still have it) as my only vehicle for a year in Durham, NC. Before that, it was a motorscooter and my ex-girlfriend's car. So, I guess I'm moving up?

Alright, so double congrats on your upward progression and your profit on the rust bucket. SV 650 is a nice bike. Always wanted one and I admire them every time I see one as I'm driving along with my kids bickering in the back seat. MS3 is the closest I can come to a bike these days. That's partly why I love it.

You mean pics of the girl, right? ^_^;; j/k

Ahh, you either forgot, or never heard the one about the redneck who placed a personal add looking for a wife, who needed to have a bass-boat and motor. Any potential mates were required to send photos of said boat and motor.

Hmm... interesting story. Having grown up in cities, I can't say I know too many rednecks. ^_^;;

My dealer sticker peeled right off. Get 'em while they're still fresh, along the with their plate mounts and every form of advertising they put on there.

Yeah, red is the sexiest. Especially with the contrasting black trim, it looks like it belongs in a Victoria's Secret catalogue.
