Good Evening. First Post...

My name is Cool1Net6. I am a college grad in my mid-20's who is now a proud owner of a 2008 MazdaSpeed 3. Coming from a Late 90's Saturn Automatic to a DISI 2.3L Turbo Manual is a bit of a jump, but I am happy with my decision to join the Mazda community.

I already need a ton of help, as I have no clue as to the maintenance routine of a force inducted vehicle, much less the specifics of a Mazda, and since the car came 'pre-modded', I am going to have to figure out what the heck isn't stock as well. Ah well; learning is a lifelong process...

Just from the profile pic I can tell it's been lowered and has an aftermarket exhaust. Pop the hood and get us some pics and we can go from there.

Welcome! Is it just me, or does it look like just the front is lowered? Rear looks stock height. Definitely aftermarket exhaust, or at least aftermarket muffler. Tint also looks dangerously dark for VA.

Welcome aboard! It's a great little car for sure. Yeah you at least have an aftermarket exhaust and are lowered there. It also looks like you have eyelids from this angle... oh and a tinted rear side reflector. Looks like a tastefully modded car by the previous owner. Defidentely poke around and find out what's been done. Take some pics under the car and under the hood at different angles.
Use a nice synthetic 5w-30/40 oil and change every 3-5k and you're golden unless a problem arises... and it might knowing this car.

Windows is a guaranteed ticket in VA, state troopers here are not cool at all...as for the stock height, check out the ground its cuz its kinda convex so that's why the rear looks stock, on even ground it's alot lower then just springs for sure.

Thanks guys. Yeah the car is most definitely lowered; in that pic the ground is uneaven. Exhaust is cat-back, there are eyelids on the lights, and I have no idea how much the tint is, but its really freakin' dark.

Did an oil change this past weekend to Mobil 1 5W30; the engine bay is 'stock', but its hard believing it always was. No pics yet; I'm a busy bee and I need to find time to do a proper photo shoot. The car is stunning as is; I love it.
