hiya theninemilly..
I saw you were in the area.. and wanted to know if maybe you'd be interested in joining ProMazda car club?

Sweet, I see that he got a silver MSP...very rare! (thumb) Tell him to join if he's not already on here.

a few of us hooked up ghost's boost controller this past weekend. its not that hard. just 1 word of advice. find out how much boost you'll be running after you setup. don't guess. you should know pretty much exactly without doubt. we thought we had his ride set at like 6 PSI based on a little bit of info we gathered and thought, but it ended up jumping 20+ PSI!!! and taht was with a light tap of the accelerator and not even mashing it down. so thats the only real thing you need to worry bout. its a pretty straight forward install otherwise.

he ordered a blitz turbo timer with a built in boost gauge so we plan on installing that at the same time....so if anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated...

thank you lisakay....i love my rsx....hopefully she will be boosted by spring time :)

she will then be pushing out 300whp :)

we have a few people in my car club(capital rsx) that have done stage 2 turbo's pushing over 400whp...they are pretty nasty lol

I had a hondata tuned Civic turbo as my last car. pushed 229hp to the wheels, it was pretty sick fast in the light EK.

the k20 can be easily tuned. There is a head kit for it dynoed at 270hp.

Remember though, just bolting on a turbo doen't make you fast. You'll need the proper fuel managment and tuning. I spent close to 20k on my civic and it was the biggest waste of my money. It was fun when running but high hp cars tend to break down often, (plug wires going bad, piston seals losing compression, gaskets going bad, oil all over the engine bay, constant fuel smell, I can go on and on. Had the turbo for 3years and got tired of wasting all my money. Bought a MSP and keeping it stock. Tuning cars is a money pit and make sure your ready to spend all the penny you have to keep it running.

one more suggestion if you are plannin on boosting it way up, and I'm sure you already took care of it, but if not... go with copper plugs... don't get platinum or other kinds... the copper ones (if you blow them) will not blow into the engine but out the valve instead (thus saving the internals).

main reason to use copper plugs is because they conduct electricity better then platinum. They are also cheaper so when your running a high compression turbo car such as hondas you can change them every 6k miles. Turbo hondas has to run extra rich to avoid detonation and it fouls up the plug after little while.

also very true... I was just thinking bout extra info that I had in my head. I was just adding some extra info since I figured he would have known that already. but good call.

ok im back again :)

I installed his blitz tt turbo timer last night. Wednesday night we are goign to install all of his motor work. So if any of you could help that would be great! Thanx guys

thanx for the welcome lisakay.......i dont know who's car ur gonna ride in.

You can ride in either of ours if you want. I used to be able to beat the s*** out of him when i had my hondata(ecu upgrade :) and my jackson racing race header. But i took those off and sold them for peperation for my turbo....which isn't looking too good right now.

Right now im prob .3 tenth quicker in the quarter miles than him but once he gets all this stuff done im gonna be the slow one :(

anywho i just need some help with the install tomorrow night. I emailed a couple people in the area from this forum and hopefully they can help us out. I hvae my own garage that is heated so hopefully that will make them come :)

saturday we are having a RSX meet at Hardtimes in springfield if you are interested. We have about 60 rsx in our car club. All of them are modified. We roll pretty deep. We should have about 15 or 20 member present on saturday.

It's at 3pm on saturday if you are interested.

Are you just installing the MBC? It's not that hard to do.

One word of advice is to have the lines short...that'll help prevent boost spikes
