(RTM) Other than the obvious...jack, spare tire, and my fat girlfriend....What can I lose to trim down my porky Protege? And no I'm not taking out the back seats and interior like some white trash Civic racer... (shocked) Yeah I went there. Anyone found any useless bolts or brackets? My only plans so far are a CF hood, losing the subwoofer rack, and that piece of metal above the muffler...it appears to be some kind of heat shield or something... (RTM) Anyways...any advice would be appreciated.

Depending on what your doing with your car I wouldnt take too much weight out of the back......that rearend comes around too fast as it is in my opinion.

Every gallon of gas weighs .....(7lbs? something like that).....run on low tank of gas, the best weight savings in my opinion.

Battery Possibly.
Lighter Seats.
Lighter Exhaust System.
Windshield Washer Tank/Motor :P

Get a Kevlar hood from iON rather than CF. I think the Kevlar hood weighs 13 pounds.

(mswerd) Thank you. One of my biggest pet peeves.

sounds like a waste of time to me, but rock on
Ditto..........IF you cant beat the civic with a car that you can turn around and go pick up your g/f in.............then you don't need to be racing

It always cracks me up when I see awesome awesome cars at shows and stuff. I mean cars with tons of money in them. They all have cf hoods and lightweight racing seats, ect... then you see the owner is like 250lbs. lol
