You can jack right near the fender, below the doors. There is a rail right there, its double thickness sheet metal. There is also a spot on the front cross member with an X on it that can be jacked up on. Also on the rear cross member you can jack in the center (where the control arms come up and connect to it, there is a flat between them and thats the spot.)
Use a block of wood on both the cross member jacking locations so you don't mark it up and some have said that the teeth of the jack bend the front cross member slightly.

Edit.... Doh. Didn't read all the way. If you jack on the side rails, you should see a little notch closer to the fenders, jack closer to the center of the car so you can put the jack stand in that notch. Jack the back of the car from the rear cross member.
