Man, I was on my way out of SLC to go home on 7200 south on sat.12 at about 1:30pm when I was at a red light waiting to get on the freeway when some wench in a Dodge Durango ran into me. Smashing my rear passenger light, trunk and bumper. (argh) I just picked up my license plates that morning from the dealer, too. The lady that hit me said she had dropped her cell phone on the floor and bent down to pick it up and the next thing she knows shes all up in my rear(butthump). Now I get to go through all the hassle of getting it repaired. Well at least its not totalled, but it just sucks! Sorry, but I felt like bitchin' about it.

what a lame excuse, I hope she finds herself flying off a 1000ft cliff one day because she dropped her cell phone

now about those neck and back pains....

I wish people would hang up and drive.

same here.....there are way too many people who talk on their phone that are terrible drivers to start; mix the two together and bad things happen.

I would've gotten out of my car grimacing, holding my neck and saying, "Hope you have a good attorney."

Well I went to the insurance adjuster today to get a quote and it came out to about $1,600 in repairs. But her insurance told me that they cant do the work until they can contact her to hear her side of the story. So far they cant reach her and she hasn't returned their calls. Atleast they got the police report. I called the lady myself and she answered. I told her she needs to call her insurance company so I can get my repairs started. I took a day off from work to do all this and still no word from her or GEICO.

Almost the same thing happened to me. With less than 180 miles on the car and only having it for a day I was rear ended at a stop light. After days of fighting with the persons insurance I decided to pay my deductible to have my insurance company fix the car. The car was fixed in a few days and I recieved my deductible back a month later. I feel for ya....

Never trust the other party's insurance company. Thye're working for their policy holder, not you.
