It was bound to happen

I am also going to be selling the mpi and extra injectors in the next few weeks when I take them out.

whats going in there in place of it??

Why not get an E6X so you have timing control as well? You're giving that up by selling the MPI

The f10x will work just fine. My guy doing the build/tuning said that he will not need to control timing and that he has built many protege's with just using the F10X. I have faith in him and know it will run well.

The Super Protege is running on 20+ PSI on just a F10x with tuning.

I dunno, when i think about it. If i were going to stay with a piggyback, i don't see why you'd sacrafice timing control and fuel control for something that just controls fuel...

Well its gunna work fine. I tried the mpi out and noone here can tune it well. Im going with the same setup as superprotege and I think he's doing just fine with just controlling fuel.

IT may be easier just controlling fuel. I think for you with a built engine you should go standalone like the Microtech or AEM

damn dude this sucks, sorry to hear. i've been out of the loop for a while :(

i can't decide whether to go forged or not. and this thread doesn't help

Don't hesitate about going forged. My motor went because of me not doing everything right. But since my motor went I should have had my car back already, but I just got off the phone with my builder and its going to be another 2 weeks till I get the car back. Maybe more. I just want it back before MazdaSummerPalooza.

You will have it back before then, he will do anythign he can for you. He's a good guy. As for built blocks, i'm going with the same thing as you Joe. Later down the road though. My bank account will be dead once I get the tranny done.

Yep. He's a good guy. The reason for such the wait is that my parts and the parts for the bimmer are coming in at the same time. So he's has to go back and forth with both cars to get them done. Im heading to his shop tomorrow to grab my valve cover so my buddie could paint it. I will be happy when I get it back.

Hey Joe, where are you takin it to get painted, i got a couple of pieces that need some paint as well, and i loved the job he did on your old valve cover (if it is the same guy)
