Is this rim size no good?

Width 6.5 inches Offset 52.5 mm


New Wheel Specs
Width 7.5 inches Offset 53 mm



Inner Clearance: 14mm less
(the inside of the wheel to the strut housing)

Outer Position: extend an extra 12mm
(position of the outside edge of the wheel)

Need to know if these will have issues rubbing when i lower it?

with it being pretty much the same offset, but an inch wider, id be concerned about it rubbing on the inside.

Couldn't i just get some 10mm spacers to correct it

you could, as long as they were hubcentric and you have enough fender clearance. The spacer will put you at +43, I believe youll be ok at that offset but im not 100% sure about the MZ3. Im sure someone will chime in soon with more info.

Wow you lived really close I'm just off 275 and 38th ave. Is there any meets in this area on the weekends? I used to go out to gandy but I've grown tired of that scene.

you should register on the tamparacing forums. There are weekly meets and lots of info on upcoming shows. The only down side is some of the rice on there(rei), other than that its not too bad. There is some real nice stuff as well.

43 lowered would be perfect on that size rim... 53 maybe pretty good as well there is a lot of room on the inside. anything over 42 lowered is going to rub i know trust me. (42 rubbed a tiny bit with my kumhos but not with my new good years even though they are the same size??)

What size tires are you on and how much is your ride lowered?

225/40/18 and i am lowered on a prokit... i think its 1.5" in the front and 1.2 in the rear

I'm sure you have some pics. Can you post or add the link so i can see how it looks I have been thinking about getting the Prokit as well.

you should be fine, the stock offest for s ms3 is +50 something and its 7" and there is plenty of room on the inside, you shouldn't need spacers...

her has a regular 3, not MS3. And his original post states that the wheel offset is +53, which is 1mm closer to the inside. On top of that he wants to go with a 1" wider wheel. Itll be close to the struts with no spacers.

the clearance for a MS3 and the regular three are the same.. so he's only half an inch wider than a ms3, should be ok...

Alright wheels are on and no rubbing on the struts. I'm Still thinking about getting spacers for the back wheels though. The fronts are almost flush with the fenders but I'm going to lower it before i decide on the spacers for sure.

Now I need to decide on what springs to get.

Any Idea if the Cobb springs for the MS3 will give me the same drop on my MZ3?
