Is it ok to wire ahead of time?

Umm, if you're just running a normal 2ch amp, then not really. if it's a 4channel amp and you only want to run 2channels with it, then yes. infact I believe that's what servo does. The thing is that bridging takes the stereo out of things, makes it mono, if you run your right to the rear and left to the front of a 4ch amp, then you're still stereo, elsewise, just run it straightforward normal. These are the kinds of thigns you can always mess with later if you need to. Sound quality is usually better non-bridged anyway.

Man, you are gonna have such a f'n blast running all your wires. Remember to take your time and do it right! Installation is the best (most fun in MHO) part of a good stereo.

Not the front door wires.. my friends are still cut up.. I think I lost a pint of blood running those wires...

j/k, it was fun, but I dont think I would do it again any time soon.

I take it you read my sticky for the front door wires. It's really not allthat hard, just takes a bit of time.

uh, read your sticky...**** that, any other way to splice into the front door speakers?

if your going to run the wires partially, run it all the way.. Its better for sound quality and its not as painful as the sticky looks, just tricky to get the 4 clips pushed in at the same time. Do the back doors first, theres more working space.

I would do them for you come Austin meet but I dont think you can wait that long with no music..

Yeah, it was a major help. Thanks for writting that. I pulled the car side of the harness through the hole and worked on it inside the car like 1st suggested.

im only powering the front two speakers. isnt there ANY other way to get my speaker wires connected? i am clumsy and cant even BUDGE that ******* clip, let alone 4 at the same time. PLUS i have no extension cord that will reach all the way to my car with a dremel at the momemnt.

You can tap the wires going into the stock harness on the reverse harness that you bought...

The front speaker wires that *would* go to the reverse harness wires, are taped off and then the return wires (amplified wires) from the amp are going INTO that reverse harness. So then you don cut any stock wires and it still gets to the speakers.

yea it sure is i figured that out but was too lazy to edit lol...im running the s*** now...i meant like cant you bridge 6.5s like you can bridge subs? like you have 4 ohm 6.5s cant you bridge them to 2 ohms or am i stupid lol remember im not good with audio stuff.

if you are changing the ohms then you must mean running them in parallel. to lower the resistance. bridging is with the amp. when you wire 2channels to 1 channel or 4 channels to 2 channels. I konw you are not a car audio man. just helping ya out. like eveyone said if you do this you will lose the balance. cant switch from left to right, cause it will all be mono. like if you are listening ot a song and it come from one side.. then they mix it back to both sides.. you would not get that.. it will always be coming out of both sides.. mono.. no stereo. just realized that has been said alot.. sorry.. but atleast you will know.. (nana)

i was told you dont have to drill.

should i run my power wire opposite side of the rcas? im assuming this piece of shorter 4 guage wire is for my ground? damn its gonna be hard to get that into that fuse holder...well maybe not...hmmm...

if it wasnt snowing out id be out there right now messing with this.

2ga very easy.. but now that you have it done.. you seen how easy it was to get teh wire in there..

what if i didnt care about that?

if you dont care about that.. and you want more power and the speakers can handle the extra power.. then you can bridge them. you have a 4 channel?

no its a two channel. so i guess i cant...i was thinking if i bridged it to one channel and wired both speakers into one channel...maybe im ****** up? its 50x2 4ohm, 70wx2 2ohm, and 140wx2 one channel

far as I know.. the only thing is you could run the speakers in parallel. you will be down to 2ohms.. and get more power. cause you will be using the amp as one channel instead of two. but I am not if the amp will support 2ohms bridged.. alot of times they wont..

140wx2 one channel.. do you mean 140Wx1 @ 2ohms? or you did you just put the 2 in there since you put it at the end of all the other ones..???? just trying to figure out if your amp is 2ohm stable bridged?
