Ipod Nano

still have to deal with iTunes though

I'm gonna go check it out tommorrow, we have an apple store in one of the local malls.

Man, i just bought an MP3 player like 3 weeks ago, and then i lost it 2 weeks later. Small is awesome but then i go ahead and lose it. SO much teh suck.

I'm waiting until sylfex sends me my autoxmod for my 6 so I can have an aux in.

wowza... that's small. Had no idea this was coming out. And I thought the mini was tini when it came out...

i remember musicmatch. used it for a while then unistalled it. now i just use WMA and Limewire to get and upload music. music match kept on freezing on me and stuff.

Winamp for playback. Torrent sites for downloads.

For listening online I just use www.allofmp3.com. Logged in users get free full length previews. The quality is down to 24k-42k, but it's fine on my laptop.

mmmmm even more of a reason to keep the youth of america stuck to their computer screen...

too small... I'd have to either use 2 hands, or bend my thumb in an acward position to use the wheel.. I have a 3g iPod, and am happy with it.. No need to upgrade for me.

Anyone use the samsung or other windows based MP3 players?

Creative Zen Micro 5GB here. I subscribe to Yahoo's unlimited download service ($60 / yr). Needs a PlaysForSure device so any iPod is out.

i have a creative jukebox zen xtra..its bigger than the ipod, but after my ipod died on me, this seems more stable and has better features.

I give Apple a lot of credit, they know the consumer doesn't do any homework so they actually release a new product that has less memory for the same price, they are going backwards. The iPod Mini was discontinued last week, when the Nano came out.

The new iPod Nano :
2 gigabyte = $ 199
4 gigabyte = $ 249

The discontinued iPod Mini :
4 gigabyte = $ 199
6 gigabyte = $ 249

The big thing about the Nano is that it is smaller, but the discontinued iPod Mini (6 gig) only weighed 3.6 ounces while the Nano is 1.5 ounces, the human hand can barely even sense that difference of 2 ounces, and the Nano should weigh less anyways since it holds less music. The discontinued iPod Mini would play up to 18 hours, the Nano plays up to 14 hours, less battery life also with the Nano. The iPod Mini was 3.6 inches in height, the Nano is 3.5 inches in height.. The iPod Mini also came in 4 colors, the Nano only comes in 2 colors. Only thing the Nano has over the Mini is that the Nano can store/view pictures, but who wants to view pictures on a 1.5 inch screen ??? (screwy)

If anyone is in the market for a Nano, they should wake up and then should get out to the stores quick and try to buy the discontinued iPod Mini 6-gig while they are still in stores.

Funny thing is that the 4-th generation regular 20 gigabyte iPod is $ 269 at WalMart right now, it holds 5 times more music than the iPod Nano and is only $ 20 more. WalMart also has the Creative Nomad 40 gigabyte for $ 215, it holds 10 times more music than the Nano, and is $ 30 less.

And if Photos are really what you want, the 5th generation 20-gigabyte iPod is $ 299, five times more space than the Nano for only $50 more.

Marketing for the win.
Ill say it before and ill say it again. Those idiots at apple can s*** in a box, paint it off-white, sell it for 250$ and people would buy it.
