Ipod Nano

I'm an Apple guy. Had an Apple IIc growing up. Had a Mac in college. Computer lab in college had mostly Macs. Bought a Powerbook when I lived in Japan. Had a Mac in portfolio school. All the ad agencies I've worked for use Macs. Bought an iBook last year and gave my iMac to my brother. All my writer, designer, art director friends own Macs. I'd rather s*** in a box and paint it off-white and eat it than use a Windoze machine or fugly poorly-designed non-iPod. But that's just me... not using common sense.

ZOMG hi I'm apple I'm gonna take UNIX put a pretty face on a it and call is OS X TIGER!

BTW steve jobbs is one of the evilest people I have ever taken to time to research. Don't get me wrong Mr. Gates is quite a shady business man just no where near the level Steve Jobbs is.

Also please give me some logical reasons why windowsXP sucks.

i guess your right bud, i mean i guess all the clothes you wear are from walmart. Also you bought a protege instead of some kia spectra. Ahh but none of those things are trendy so its okay.

I just ordered one for my wife's birthday, should come on Monday. So small, she can tuck it in her thong and take it to the gym!!! :)

I also get an employee discount because my company has a special deal with apple. hooahh.

I got the nano, in black, it's really awesome. It's small but not as fragile as you guys think!

I give Apple a lot of credit, they know the consumer doesn't do any homework so they actually release a new product that has less memory for the same price, they are going backwards. The iPod Mini was discontinued last week, when the Nano came out.

The new iPod Nano :
2 gigabyte = $ 199
4 gigabyte = $ 249

The discontinued iPod Mini :
4 gigabyte = $ 199
6 gigabyte = $ 249

The big thing about the Nano is that it is smaller, but the discontinued iPod Mini (6 gig) only weighed 3.6 ounces while the Nano is 1.5 ounces, the human hand can barely even sense that difference of 2 ounces, and the Nano should weigh less anyways since it holds less music. The discontinued iPod Mini would play up to 18 hours, the Nano plays up to 14 hours, less battery life also with the Nano. The iPod Mini was 3.6 inches in height, the Nano is 3.5 inches in height.. The iPod Mini also came in 4 colors, the Nano only comes in 2 colors. Only thing the Nano has over the Mini is that the Nano can store/view pictures, but who wants to view pictures on a 1.5 inch screen ??? (screwy)

If anyone is in the market for a Nano, they should wake up and then should get out to the stores quick and try to buy the discontinued iPod Mini 6-gig while they are still in stores.

Funny thing is that the 4-th generation regular 20 gigabyte iPod is $ 269 at WalMart right now, it holds 5 times more music than the iPod Nano and is only $ 20 more. WalMart also has the Creative Nomad 40 gigabyte for $ 215, it holds 10 times more music than the Nano, and is $ 30 less.

And if Photos are really what you want, the 5th generation 20-gigabyte iPod is $ 299, five times more space than the Nano for only $50 more.
actually the nomad holds 20 times more songs since the nomads mp3 formats are about half the size of whatever ipods use.

I was thinking of picking one of these up for a christmas present for my wife. Saw a few locally on craigslist in the 170-180 range brand spanking new. Do these things come with factory warranties? I was just curious because I wouldn't be buying from a store.

I have a 4th gen 40GB iPod. I am a PC person for the most part, but I did like the interface of the iPod. That even as "big" as it is, was a much better deal than the nano is, though some people like their devices smaller and lighter, so I see why people would want it. I would get a iPod Mini 6GB before they sell out, still a good device. I do like my 40GB iPod, though, and I use MP3s on it. It's still much smaller than a portable CD Player and a stack of CDs...
