yup Please try to use the search button before making a thread ! theres tons of info out there on that FMIC...

I think its $925+shipping for members on this forum. Do a search on the gains theres a dyno sheet somewhere that shows the gains compared to stock. PM ion performance for any more questions.

I am also in the market for a FMIC. Which FMIC is better ION FMIC or HiBoost FMIC?

It's all personal preference...You'll just have to read up on them both and make your own decision.

It was in turbo magazine at one point, I made a thread posting the article and iON has posted a better scan in some threads as well. PM iON Performance and ask away, Jack's a great guy and he'll respond normally the same day. I'm sure he can help you out hehe.

(Run #1) 120.6whp peak @ ~6000rpm, 125lb-ft torque @ 4200rpm
(Run #2) 119.4whp peak @ ~6000rpm, 114lb-ft torque @ 4200rpm
(Run #3) 116.2whp peak @ ~6000rpm, 106lb-ft torque @ 4700rpm

After stage 1 FMIC added (w/ stock airbox & K&N panel filter): boost was 5.7psi peak
(runs #1-11 were all higher then #12, we stopped at 12 runs)
(Run #12) 139.3whp peak @ 5800rpm, 146.3lb-ft torque @ 3900rpm.

Very good product for a very good price. Hey jack, how much cutting is required? Do you offer one that doesn't require any cutting? (I'm asking because for autox, you can't cut body for FMIC and stay in the class I want to.)

~brian

conekiller<SCRIPT type=text/javascript> vbmenu_register("postmenu_940896", true); </SCRIPT> - Very little cutting is actually required. It should not throw you out of class. Which class of solo 1 or solo 2 are you going for? We have several guys that participate in both SCCA solo1 & solo 2 with our FMIC kit and it doesn't throw them out of class for PGT, GT, Street Modified or Street Prep'd

I'm a little intimidated about installing the ION kit myself. How much do you think labor would cost to have it done?

mspdfreak - A body shop should be able to complete the install in about 5hrs or so. If you pre-assemble the kit once, before you start the install, things will go easier. spray a little WD40 on the silicone hoses, so it'll take less time to slip them on.

so, in all honesty... could a weekend warrior do this in one weekend with the help of a few buddies? i mean i dont have an incrediably large assortment of tools but i have the basics.

I was thinking the same exact thing before:

There is an extra 1% charge for international payments (ION is based in Canada), so the total charge is either 3.2% or 3.9%. Still it's a lot less than 7%.
