I check the battery and alternator, and the voltages are all fine. The car Start 98% of the time like normal. But once in a while I get a no-crank or an weak cranking; and then cycle the ignition a few times and it start normally. I bought a new starter, which I'll install. But I am wondering if it might be relay within the alarm (hence the clicking/buzz from under the dash). I'm gonna switch out the starter this weekend, and if that doesn't solve the problem, I'm going to take out the alarm (which I hate anyway). Anyone else had a similar problem? Just thought I would check and see if anyone has gone down this path before.

Never personally heard of this occurring but I would suspect an ignition relay or ignition switch. The alarm is a possibility but it likely wouldn't be intermittent, you can try pushing the black button for the alarm under the driver's side of the dash.

connection to battery. bad terminals, decay.. fix your wiring and you should be ok. also check to see if wires came loose on starter motor. I had same problem. Electrical problem 100%
