I picked up a few 9" automotive blacklights by Bulldog at the local Ollie's Discount for like 6 bucks.... (cool)

They come with the typical cigarette lighter adapter plug for power...

I originally intended to use these in my PC (I have an acrylic case, and the 12vdc lights work great...) (werd)

Anyway, for s**** and giggles I took one of the 9" blacklights out and rigged it up under my dash in the footwell so it cast a diffuse glow (not direct)...and it looked really hot with the EL stock lighting....

The blacklight didn't bother me in the dark (I don't want any bright lights INSIDE the cabin, since it ***** with my nightime vision...). I'm really trying to stay away from any kind of ghetto or rice type lighting effects.... (I'm supposed to be professional as I'm now old and in a position of respect;)(second) .....so I don't want anything too overbearing).

Anyway I'm up for suggestions as to how to interface the power supply for these lights with the factory power. I don't want to run these to the CLA, I'D PREFER THEM HOOKED INTO MY HEADLIGHTS SO THEY TURN ON WHEN I SWITCH MY LIGHTS ON.....

ANY IDEAS BEITCHES!!

Well I can't help you with hook up. But I still would put a switch so that you can kill them even if you're lights are on. Just my .02 cents.

Thanks I Boost...

No doubt.... If I can't easily interface with the headlight circuit (is a 12vdc relay needed???) I'm just gonna run to the fuse box and run an inline toggle..

it's easy as pie dude. All ya need is a relay and switch (although optional)

relay:
pin 86 = 12v + from headlight switch
pin 85 = chassis ground
pin 87 = 12v+ fused
pin 30 = 12v+ output to blacklite

chassis ground the blacklite and then connect pin 30 from the relay to it's power wire and your good to go.

If you want to add a switch, add it inline with the headlight switch wire and relay. That way, when your switch is OFF, it's just like you turned off the headlight switch.
