Intake Options

So I got my p5 about three months ago and the intake hosing had a big tear along the flex section. I performed "getto surgery" on it, but I know I need to just replace it. I think I'm going to go for a short ram or cold air system rather than just replace the piece with the OEM part. So what's the best option? I want to get the most out of the system but I want to avoid running lean.

Ebay intake with a good filter is the cheapest route. Most pipes are going to be the same, its all about the filter.

Honestly it depends on your prefrence. For me, CAI that i have now has a more hollow tone than the custom SRI i made before it (which had a growl to it).

If u live in a place that has a lot of puddles when it rains (like FLorida which is my place) then play it safe if u want and go SRI. I didnt. worth it.

EDIT: btw this is a very opinionated/heated topic so dont expect too many replies since its been discussed soo much.

i'd say go with the CAI, i never liked the idea of the SRI since it sucks up all the hot air in your engine bay unless you have some kind of snorkel or scoop feeding it. either way both wont gain you much power, if any...
