Installing factory spoiler

Hi, guys. I'm looking to install the factory spoiler (with brakelight) and wondered if anyone has done this and has some tips?

My first question is does the wire for the brakelight snake down through one of the holes I'll have to drill to secure the ends of the spoiler?

My next question is what do you recommend to coat the drill holes with so they don't rust?
