installing compustar today

Hey, I'm installing my compustar alarm system today (got it at a steal for $300!!!player price!!!!!)
but anyways, part of the system is ignition kill..but since the mp5 comes with this from the factory, what should I do? should i just leave the component out? Has anyone elsed the compustar or aladin system on their car? alright, thanks..

are you sure the factory alarm comes with an ignition kill feature to it? I am not sure....but I believe the factory alarm is just a noise maker.

my mp5 doesnt have any alarm at all right now =\
But I am pretty sure it comes with Ignition Kill. (passive security is what mazda calls it)

had bandit, is yours the two way FM one?
compustar has this new SS one thats crazy, it has over a mile radius (6000ft)...and the car LCD looks much better
all the other ones have "only" a 1/4 mile range

I got the SS, and actually the car is the same as the ones you got.

I've been meaning to buy an alarm, but I don't which one to buy. My question for the guys who have the Compustar system.....do you like it. If you had to put an alarm on another car, would it be the same Compustar or would you go for a clifford or something.

I also have the compustar Alarm w/ the 2way pager. It's a great alarm and no i wouldn't install anything else on any other car except this one. The compustar alarm is also compatible on my R6 Yamaha, which is great. There's so many different functions on the alarm that you'll be amazed. And also, i'd remove the stock factory alarm and just use the compustar.. it just removes the complications.

I don't know if the factory alarm has ignition kill - no mention of it in the manual that I can remember. I got Lojack installed on mine.

lol..after having it for a couple of days..i must say..the head turning factor is much higher..people just jump when they see a car next to them turn on all of a sudden lol..and then an asian guy comes out about a minute later, gets in and drives off...
awesome alarm though..nice customizable shock sensor too
