Install Sirius

Anyone know how to install the mazda Sirius kit or is there any other way to have satellite radio work with the stock radio controls?

Seems I can get the complete kit for $350 from my dealership and then I just have to figure out how to install it. Does this sound like a good price?

Thanks

most of the current mazda cars can use the aftermarket options like the axxess kit or AuxMod, etc. i'm not positive on the 09 though.

09 Sat Reciever install and AUX

I know this is an old thread, but I hope someone has some good info for me. I have a 2009 mazda6 with the standard stereo, no nav, bt or sirius. I purchased the sirius receiver and install kit and had a local stereo shop install it, after the stealership quoted me $300 just for the install. I had the install kit for non bt systems and no there is no ipod integration kit either.

The bad part is my AUX no longer works once this was done. Hit the AUX button does nothing and attempting to play a mp3 player hooked up via the center console does nothing.

I've heard mention of some type of switch box for the 09s that allow to you use the AUX once again as it automatically switches to the used input but the only info I could find anywhere was for the old AUXMOD for the first gen m6s.

The install manual for the receiver made it seem as if there was a separate SAT/BT connector on the head unit for this, but this either wasn't the case or the installer really screwed it up.

Any ideas? I really need the use of that AUX back.

Looks like I get to update my own question. After searching countless hours, there is an oem part that allows use of the stock radio, the addon sirius receiver and the AUX port.

It's SWITCHING BOX part #C9F1V6261 . I'm going order one tomorrow and install it as it looks pretty simple to do. The big question is why isn't something like this built into the head or included as part of the install kit for the addon sirius receiver? Seems like a no brainer.
