Injen cold air intake installed!

Hello, this forum has been a great help to me when choosing parts and modifications to my car, so I figured I would contribute the after pictures at least!

I installed the Injen Cold air intake last night. I wasn't surprised about the power increase, but the noise increase was shocking. It sounds like a diesel truck turbo spooling to me now! Also, the blowoff valve is very audible. I feel like my powerband moved up in RPMs a little, so i wil have to take another look at the Injen dyno sheet to see if what I suspect is true.

I also installed my boost gage in my driver's air vent. I tapped it into my cold pipe (as viewed in engine picture). I think the ractive gage is acting up (reading too high boost in 1st and 2nd) so I will be on the market for another one of those.

Enjoy!

Why did you tee into that pipe vs. just tapping into the diverter valve line? Seems alot easier

Ps. Nice job on the gauge install.

The intercooler has some bent fins, but I am not the first owner. The intake took me two hours to install and I did not have to take off the front bumper like the instructions say. I did take off the inner fender on the drivers side though. I didn't Tee the boost line because I have heard that it changes spool up time. Tapping the CP will be reliable I think.

Thanks for the comments!

I used the same method to install my CAI. It also took me about 2 hours but was way better than taking off the fender.
