Information diplay regarding "Miles Remaining".

I've got 11.5k miles on my 2013 Touring FWD with an average of 28.6mpg (according to the read out). We do a ton of city driving with long monthly road trips to see family on 70mph highways. When I fill up, it reads 405 miles and I get about that, so no complaints on my end.

When driving past the 0 E don't forget that you are driving a Direct Injection engine that has a High Pressure Pump in addition to the normal tank gas pump that uses gas to cool. Your macho ride past 0 could be a bit expensive if your pumps overheat and fail from lack of cooling gas, especially if you are out of bumper to bumper warrantee. I am not sure what happens when air gets to the high pressure pump and the injector opens and the compression gas goes into the injector due to the air compressing... Do a search on gas tank pump failure...

Took a long trip from San Jose to Omaha and return. The one thing I noticed is that the Miles to Empty get very non-linear in the last 1/3 of the tank. You would be reading something like 88 miles and then suddenly it was 72 miles. Frankly, I don't think I'll be trying to get the last gallon out of the tank very soon.

mine was showing 10 miles or so left on tank supposedly and it took just under 13gallons to fill up, and thats with several squeezes extra....

the 'miles to go' is very unreliable as previous poster stated, once you get in last 1/2-1/3 or so of tank
