No doubt; I love the red OEM electroluminescent, though I wish they were brighter sometimes...

I would stick with the stock. I had a pair on my civic and went through 4 transformers. Several different brands, they just never lasted. And the light wasgoing out in different areas after a while. But if you like them, go for it.

I'm tired of my indiglo gauges, they don't seem as bright anymore. The faces seem like they have some dark spots. I want something new, something fresh that's not played out. I'd like to see faces that light up white, kind of like in the Lexus LS430 (if you've ever had the luxury of being in one, I did at an auto show)

Maybe you can try this like I did to my gauges.
Pointing a set of LED lights to them since they are white guages already.
A cheap and lazy alternative to install indiglo guages.
You can even pick the color you want. Just swap those blue LEDs with white one if you want.

Both Walmart and Target have such 3 pieces LED light set.
The one in Walmart is cheaper (around $7.99 or something) but the one in Target looks better (around $10).
It connect to my cigarette lighter outlet. I have a 1 to 3 splitter connected there actually.
The wire will be longer than you need, I just hide some of the wires inside those gaps in the center console and zip tied the rest and hide it inside the ashtray.
