Well I do have to drive my car there with the exhaust leak. So i'm looking for somewhere around the NW suburbs really. I dont want anything worse to happen on the way....

just an exhaust leak. It's not like a oil leak or coolant leak. You should be fine. Steve is very good and friendly. You won't be disappointed with his work.

Looks like i'm just going to have to wait to get the install done untill the clutch actually gets delivered (hurry up MAM! :) ).

Any of you know what mazda dealership around here that will give me the least BS when I bring my car in to get that stupid broken bolt out of my engine?

Spec clutch?

what broken bolt?

Spec Stage 2 Clutch from MAM.

I had a friend of mine tighten down the exhaust manifold onti the engine and he didnt know the rotation you use to tighen all the bolts so that its on there even. Needless to say, one of the bolts broke off on the engine. Unfortunatly i could not grab it and unscrew it with vice grips, nor was i able to tap/drill it out (well i got close before one of the drill bits broke off inside the bolt, bloody craftsman). I've had a few body shops in the area that i'm familiar with already turn me down for service. I'm on my last straw here and thats why i'm going to the dealership. Cant be without my daily driver ANY longer...

Yup, Got the Clutch/flywheel done at a local place for a flat $300.

Unfortunatly the manifold issue cost me an unholy amount to get re-cast at the factory...

She's runnin' mighty fine now though...

Because when you use a car as your primary transportation, you can not afford to screw something up and not be able to make it to work or school.

Exactly. So once again, why would you pay some high school drop-out schmoes named Bubba to work on your car and hope they don't screw something up, let alone hope they have it ready when they promise?

It's called having someone being liable to the work by way of terms and conditions in case something does happen. Last I checked, it's awefully difficult to sue yourself (although I see your point...)
