Anyone know where the idle screw is on the MP3, I can't seem to find it?

There isn't an idle screw. I think you are think of the days of the distrubutor and the carburator.

Check the side of the throttle body, usually opposite the throttle cable lever and covered up with either a white or black plastic plug. Usually you have to drill the plug out to get to the adjustment screw. I'm not sure if the protege has one, but I know that the 1.6L and 1.8L miata's do, so I'm assuming that they put one on the 2.0L

Found it!

Standing on the drivers sid of tha car look to the bootom of the throtle body and there sits a brass/ gold colored allen head screw the has a jamming nut at the bottom. Use a 8 mm open ended wrench on the nut a you can turn the allen screw to adjust idle.
