Even though the orange is a really cool color, i think the black will age the best.

And to the originator of this thread, yes you should have bought an orange one. To tell you all the truth I would have bought Titanium had it been available in the 1st edition. But I wanted one of the first MSPs so it had to be orange or black. Now that I've got it I'm extremly glad I did.

By the way, as far as I know mine is the only orange MSP with matching tint! :)

No, I mean "orange-peel". When paint isn't applied correctly, it takes on the look of the outside of an orange...lightly pock-marked. But as others have said, it may just be the metal-flake in the paint making it look that way. I haven't seen a black mica in person. (dunno)

Oh I see what you mean now.. that' "wet look" or orange peel. When you look straight on the car it doesn't do that at all... smooth. SO it could have been the angle and my camera.

Yash,

Yes I think black will age the best IF kept up properly :D

My car has some orange peel to it too. Its not the best paint quality. i haven't buffed mine out. If you wanted to go crazy with it you could even have it wet sanded and then buffed but it isnt that bad.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

As much as I wanted to just give you this (fu) cause I like being the only MSP with orange tint anywhere, I'm too nice so check your PMs.

Edit: You better not also be running a Greddy Type S cause that would just be too wierd.

Naw Apoochy is all stock for now after having my exhaust come apart and taking some other stuff with it I told him to NOT **** WITH IT until his warranty is up or until he gets his little beater Kia back to drive. It is on loan to the older, older brother.
Damn you Orange BASTARDS that tint is cool looks like a pair of shades.
Is it really UV shielding or is it just PURTY?

HEY@!!# I waqs supposed to be the first person to imitate SpeedDemon and his orange tint. No fair... :/

It shades a little, but not much. it's really more for looks.

Apoc: A Gredyy Type is is a kind of Blow Off Valve. It is not cheap, but it is cool. Here's what I needed to install it:

Greddy Type S BOV - $185
Aluminum Flange - $35
Aluminum Pipe - $100
Welding of Pipe and Flange - $85
Silicon Hose Couplers - Don't remember but I think it was like $35ish
About 30 minutes of watching JDM Sam install it.

Basically about $400 just to have my car sound cool when I rev it up and when I shift. It does nothing for performance and sometimes I feel stupid spending that much for such a small piece. But at the same time I felt it was a necesssary addition for local show purposes. It looks really nice when I pop the hood.

Also since it is venting rather than recirculating like the stock one I had to relearn how to drive the car to prevent stalling. I've since ordered a recirculation kit for it which should come in next week. I'll try it out and see if I like the results. if not, I'll recirc most of the time and vent at shows and meets only.

Apoc - If I were you I'd go for a forge BOV wich cost only about $150 for the full kit, uses stock pipeing and has 2 pistons so it doesn't have the stallign problem. It doesn't sound anywhere near as good as a Greddy, HKS, or Turbo XS RFL in my opinion though.

Seeing how the only thing I know how to do to a car is stare at it. (thought) I better leave well enough only and wait til my warranty runs out. Besides my brother told me he would not touch it until then, since he would be the one doing the work. (no) I also remember when I first heard his exhaust broke, I had no idea what was really wrong with it, so I was thinking "Oh s*** I hope he didnt blow his motor" (boom04) and "how much would it cost out of pocket for a new engine". (sad1) Which in my case a dollar is to much (got wife two kids and the bills that go with that) (bicker) (bike) . So for now I will just make a wish list and watch and learn from others...

It was all good but don't mod if you can't build a new motor cause THEY WILL KNOW!!! Well maybe they won't know just practice acting REALLY stooopid about cars and refer to all the various parts as doo-dads and plastic thingies. lIke duh what is GASO-LINE? Oh it makes the car go!
I was ok but I admit I was thinking OH **** for a few hours. Even had it blown it would have been warrantied. I am just glad they replaced those bad stock BPV/Wastegate hoses; they were the only thing that had me worried.

On topic:Black rules Orange sucks various appendages etc...

orange msp and lovin it

Spicy Orange - I had my choice of orange, yellow, black and titanium. My husband had the dealer line the them up so we could see them more clearly and the Spicy Orange was just stood out. I was also looking at the RX8 and the Nissan 350Z. I liked the whole package of the MSP and that it was a limited production.

I love my car, get lots of complements and by the way i'm 41.
