I should have gotten a Orange msp

Titanium is the far the best color on the msp but the Wing/skirts turned me off to it. Way too boy ricer. the 03 kit was subtle but looked factory performance.

You could have always swapped them...a whole lot easier than changing the color. Just curious...do you think the STi & EVO are boy ricer too?

Titanium kicks all kinds of ass! :D

FWIW, I think the STi & Evo are borderline. Either of those cars have enough balls to justify their rear wings, but those wings are still too big for my tastes. Between the two I like the Evo. Of course, if I had my druthers, I'd have a Ford RS200 Evolution and to hell with the wing and roof mounted intercooler scoop. Zero to sixty in 1.9 and 0-100 in 5.6 with two peeps in the car (according to an old SCC issue.) That thing was "boy ricer" before the term existed, but form followed function.

I could have bought an 03.5 new for less than what I paid for my used spicy 03, but I wanted the orange, I didn't care for the facelift on the second release, and therefore the 03.5 wasn't a consideration for me. But, we're all different, and that's what makes the world an interesting place, right?

To be honest, you wouldn't believe how many people ask me where I got my custom paint job done

I love it. Granted, silver in my #1 in car colour choice, orange rocks; and it is extremely rare (me and another Orange in the city that I'm aware of), which makes it even better.

hmmm... I wonder who that would be? ;)

Seriously though, I too, love the orange; especially in the direct sunlight! :)

One thing about orange vs black... Black gets visibly dirty, meaning, if you drive in rain, the mud and what not dries up as a whitish dirt color. Hugely contrasting.

However, the orange suffers from the same problem. While it doesn't look like you haven't washed your car in weeks, the color gets dull very quickly due to dirt build up. You normally only get the sparklely effect when your car has been freshly washed.

...at least that's how it is here in Texas but we do have a bunch of dirt roads and horses trotting around all day.

funnylitlman...I couldn't help but notice a little "orange-peel" in that paint. Is that just the picture? Oh, and I wasn't just in love with my blazing yellow when I first bought it, but after I took the clay-bar to it and thoroughly detailed it, I love it!

My take on the 6 colors *disclaimer* strictly opinion and nothing more, all colors are nice and this is simply the opinion of one man *disclaimer over*

Black - gets dirty way too easy, shows swirl marks easily, but stealth and doesn't attract negative attention

Orange - attracts too much negative attention, the body panels don't really match up, but it is by far the most unique and greatest attention getting color (I'm just waiting for someone to do a dukes of hazard conversion)

Blue - very nice color, kinda boy-racer but somehow makes the car look smaller which is a big bonus

Yellow - it's too pale, it's almost washed out for a yellow car, almost looks like a dirty MP3

Titanium - nice depth to the paint, a touch too monochromitic with 3.5 rims but a great paint and nice for maintenence

Silver - common car color like black or white but such easy maintenence, the color helps keep the car understated and the contrast with the rims (3.5) makes the rims look very nice and dark

I love my Yellow - just about glows when you get it out in sunlight (damn why won't it stop raining here?) and I never lose it in a parking lot :D

Other than Yellow I was really into the Titanium. It was a close pick between the two.

having owned the mp3 blue, ordered and recieved and turned down the orange, and now own the titanium. Here's my take

Their all gorgeous, just different tastes for different personalites.

Black is an absolute beauty Clean....and an absolute biatch to clean. Had one, never again.
Orange is the same way. And can only really look its best in Sunlight when clean. Then again, we can say that about all of them. The orange does get dirty REALLY quick. The one here, during winter....well it's just sad. Anyone with yellow and driving in muddy stuff, you'll experience the same thing

Blue wasn't subtle at first. But, as more blue cars come out, it is slowly becoming common. I still wouldn't call it subtle, specially when clean. This is by far one of my fav colors. It's flashy, but not Orange/yellow type flashy, and it is easy to keep clean, but nowhere near as easy as titanium

Titanium. The elegant and more sexy looking of the bunch imho. Defintely more for mature folks ( I'm 29)I'm amazed that more people like my titanium, then my old mp3 blue. I'm also amazed at how much attention it gets ( when clean and in sun course showing off all the metallic) since I thought it was going to be more subdue'd.....WRONG. The damn thing is like a flashy light bulb in the sun and people notice it...alot. Not what I really wanted this time around but since I love it so much....oh well. Extremely easy to keep clean. Negatives, without sun and dirty, it's just grey. then again, orange without sun is peach, and blue without sun, is just plain blue almost purple'ish hue to it at times. Can't speak for yellow.

All I see are Silver ES's. Lots of them. I like it, but since I never seen a msp in it...no comment.

I love my Spicy Orange!! People always asking if it is a custom color. I had a 99 Dakota R/T, and it was black, very tough to keep clean, I will never own a black car again. Hey Mr Diggler, where did you buy your speed, where you bout to buy one in Kansas?

Wes

No one has mentioned the way that Titanium can look silver, gray, blue, & even purple.

You can kind of see what I'm talking about in my picture (copy & paste into new window). I know that newf & that guy who lives in TX with the blue TX sky sig have some good examples of this as well.
