I present to you, the Passion5

u can do that, but i enjoy my A/C too much to do that. Also, removing the oil filter housing and doign a remote mount solution is needed

Oh I thought you were removing it. I need mine too. I have a 4 year old and this is the new daily. That's why I'm trying to get as much info as I possibly can.

Nah, he's just saying he draws the line @ the AC portion of the swap, the rest is fair game though.

I know right? Check with Evan (Lewis7789) I'm not sure if he did or didn't. I'm keeping mine, but in a less conventional way.

I'm making my car 100% functional. If its there from the factory it will stay. I'm really loving the input on this site. I'm glad I found you guys.

Pffsht. A/C. That's a power robbing pulley. Get it outta here. Haha. I deleted mine but really wish I didn't the last few weeks.

All,

As much as it pains me to say this, the Passion-wagon is for sale. I hate giving up on a project, but I've been so swamped with work this year that I just haven't had time to dedicate to this; to be honest, I haven't touched it since August when I installed the springs/struts and new wheels. With winter coming I needed a DD, no driving the Z in the snow/ice this year, so I went ahead and purchased another DD. The worst part is that it really doesn't need much to get on the road, I can't spare the time/money to get it there and I don't know that doing so would increase the value accordingly. The wiring is the only major thing left to do and aside from misc. hoses/belts/gaskets it should be ready to rock. If anyone has any interest you can shoot me a PM, I can provide a summary on where the project stands and a complete inventory of parts and the money invested. Probably also worth noting that because the car is so close to being running, I have no plans to part it out, so please don't ask. I'm also in no rush to sell as it's not costing me anything to keep, more or less I have a soft-spot for it and just want to see someone carry-on the project.

If there are no takers, I may revisit the project one day, but for now, she's for sale.

Boo. Bullshark took his nearly completed KL Protege to the junkyard last week and now you're throwing in the towel too? But it's completely understandable. You've put a lot of good work into her. For what it's worth, a sincere thank you for all the help you've given me on my KL Protege (especially the shift linkage). I hope someone scoops up the project and it lives on! (2thumbs)

I would love to. No doubt in my mind it would be complete and running very soon. That amount of money just isnt in my budget right now though. Thanks for the reply though FORZWIN. I really do appreciate it.

Really?!?! Thats a shame, I'll have to go read up on that. Who knows it may turn out that I can't find a buyer and I may get back into it when things slow down @ work. Being that I've already replaced it, there's no rush to get it finished. No worries man, you've been of equal assistance, I'm glad to give back. You and me both, it really would be a cool ride once its all together, but ultimately it just isn't working out. I really wish I had more time to finish it.

No problemo, thanks for the inquiry. The price is up there, but there are a lot of new/aftermarket parts already installed and is definately a deal considering how put together the car really is. I'm sure it's still less than what I've got in it and it will be a tough sell to get everything out at once, but I really hate to think of parting it out being that it's so close to running. I'm not expecting it to go quick lol.

Will you be putting up an official FS thread in the marketplace?

I'm sure there will be at some point. As soon as I can get a list of things together and take some recent pictures with the proper signage. I'm not turning this into the for sale thread ;) I was more or less updating to keep these kind folks in the know.

Awwww bummer... too bad. I was learning a lot from this thread. Hopefully someone will be able to pick it up and not only finish it but post the progress here....

OK this really sucks. Really was looking forward to the completion of this one. Lewis's was cool to watch and I was watching this one closely too. Wish I lived closer I'd consider it. Thanks for sharing all the updates with us guys who don't have the balls to even attempt this. So Sad, hopefully someone else with pick it up and finish the Passion-wagon.
