I Need Help Please!!

I tried to do the fog light mod on my protege 5. I followed the instructions that were on this forum: 1) Remove the cover on driver side, 2) Remove relay with four wires attached to it 3) Then I cut the red wired and joined it with the light green wire 4) I stuck it back into the slot and turned on my lights. It didn't work and now my parking lights nor my brake lights work. What happened? Can someone give me the thread on how to install the foglights without the headlights correctly? Also, to what happened to my parking lights and brake lights.

I went to the instructions you spoke of....and read the whole thread...and I see where you messed up....

in step No#3 you CUT the red wire....you were NOT supposed to CUT the wire...you are supposed to TAP INTO IT....as in just make part of the wire BARE and attach another wire to it and then insulate that part.....then continue with the instructions.

someone else did the same thing...and after reconnecting the red wires back together.....it worked fine.
