I need a new Engine

Hi. I have an 02 P5. Manual transmission.

I need to replace the engine but don't know where to find one.

I will be selling it as soon as I get it fixedd.

Can you give me some advice as to where to buy one, or what exactly I should search?

if your are going to be selling the car after you fix it i would just go get a old used one from a junk yard, try searching locally... there should be some around somewhere good luck!dont spend over 800!!!!

I might buy a car if the engine had been replaced many tens of thousands of miles earlier. No way I would ever buy one where the owner changed the engine and then immediately sold it. Not saying you are trying to scam anyone, but a buyer who purchases a car whose motor has no known history is taking a pretty big gamble. At the very least they are likely to want a very low price to offset some of that risk.

Rob_-My mechanic said he may be able to do for $1200 w/ engine. He said if i could find my own he'll charge me $600 to replace it. I'll try and look locally though.

Passadena--- I know what you're saying. The timing really sucks because I was planning on selling it ASAP. I didn't have time to sell/buy a car because of school, and the 1st thing I planned on doing once summer started was get rid of this car, adn buy a new one.

Just bad luck that my car broke down 1 day before my last final (before semester's end.).

I'm not trying to gip anyone off, but I don't want my car anymore. ( i know you weren't try to insinuate that)

you can get a bran new block for 1200. a junk yard should sell you motor?tranny for 1200 lol even then its still a little high. when my motor blew i negotiated with the guy and got motor tranny for 900 kept the motor and sold the tranny for 200! lol.. anyways just watch out and dont spend too much
