Congrats Donas!

11 years this April for me and the misses. We still say " I love you" before we hang up everytime we talk and still hold hands whenever we're together. She is always thinking of what she can do for me....no naughty thoughts please. Looks like ya found one like mine. She's a keeper! I'm happy for you.(2thumbs)

And yes I treat her the same way. She's my queen.

I know not everyones a Christian but this verse just hit home for me:

Proverbs 18:22: He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord.

+2

Everyone who's been on the forums for any number of years knows the craziness I've been through. All that turned around for me when I found the right woman, and we were married June, 2007. Everything is just falling into place.

How long have you been waiting? Also, you don't want to push someone. if you do, you run the risk of pushing them away. Marriage for guys and the women folk are different. Women often know ahead of time that they want to marry someone. For guys, it's a sudden revelation. They usually wake up one day and realize,

We've been together 4 years and living together for 3.5 years. He's oblivious to this sometimes I think. lol He's turning 32 soon, and I'll be 25 this year, so we're not really all that young either. I'm sure it'll happen eventually, but seriously, how can he turn down someone who ENCOURAGES his racing habit? haha

I told him to buy the race car, and I buy him stuff to help along the way. I haven't been on a vacation in two years because of this. hahaha

Wow, that's awesome! Make sure you have an outlet of your own too (if its the same as his, even better!). I'm not accusing you of this, but make sure you don't come across as needy either. Be a symbol of strength for your man. I had a problem in the past because someone didn't have their own outlet, they spent their time criticizing every little thing I did, and being mad because I made friends easily. They would get mad and resentful when I would occasionally go hang out. What a turn-off.

We're both car nuts, so that's partially why we get along so well. I'm as much a track rat as he is, and I actually get really involved with our motorsport club doing promotions and stuff.

To all you married men on the forums, don't forget to tell your wife you love them every day

Belated congrats and thanks for the hint Donas64, I just did that yesterday, next one is tonight :D. It has worked well (it is easy to oversee, honest).

My wife is not into cars at all, so no related gifts for me but I guess that is why we are a good mix. My only advice is, if there are plans to have kids sometime, is to keep a portion of that love every time you can as they will give wife and you the ultimate test as a couple everyday. The more love you have stored, the more you can use for those cases :D. If there are no plans, just ditch the advice and use it all.

Oh, and you'll see that a Mazda5 is one of those very few cars with Zoom-Zoom that can keep everyone happy (wife, husband AND kids) ;)

An SUV? That may be one of the first couple love tests you'll face ;)... joking of course, it is a fine car, but in that wife and I agree, we don't like SUVs at all (looks, driving, handling, fuel economy, plus they have no Manual Tranny available :()
