I just had a late night/early morning epiphany...

realizing that NONE of the colors Mazda is offering on the RX-8 in '05 is what i want (i want strato blue goddammit, or orange, lol), and then finding out that '05 MSM will come in Lava Orange, plus the fact that I just came out my Mazda-requisite rotary experience (loved the FC!) that had a hole on the roof, which introduced me to open air driving, I think I'm gonna put my RX-8 dream on hiatus, keep the Protege as people hauler/winter beater, and get the VERY LIMITED Lava Orange '05 Mazdaspeed MX-5 (cool)

and yes, it really is as trivial as it sounds, lol

have you seen lava orange in person on the 3? its not as attractive as it is on paper, not at all like the spicy orange mica.

actually i have seen it on a 3. very similar to the copper on the 6 (i think brighter), and i think it'll look very sharp, did i mention rare???

Haha... Well I know that is the hard thing to do, I was just being logical...

well, I have decided against getting the MSM for good, not that it's a bad car or anything, I just feel that if I'm gonna spend this much money for a new car, I might as well go for it all and get the car that I've always wanted, an RX-8.

I finally snapped out of it and realized that getting what I really want is worth more to me than getting a hell of a deal on a car that I'm not *as* excited about.

i'm not really digging any of the wheels the msm comes with. i saw a truck the other day hauling an 05 msm and the wheels just don't do it for me. good luck with whatever you buy.

yeah i don't like the '05 MSM wheels either, if i have to pick between the 2, i'd pick the 04 style, not that it's gonna matter to me or anything, lol

the current plan is to sell the Protege first (however long that may take), and then consider the next step. I may actually save up some cash during that time too (cash usually don't stay in my pocket too long!!!)
