I got the black eye!

So did I just made my headlight to CDM style?:D

Just curious... Is the headlight from Canada gloss black or flat black?

i never understood why the US didn't get them either.

You should open up a shop and do this full time, youd make a killing! Charge $150!

You should see my house during weekends. It's like a auto shop already. Almost every weekend, atleast one of my friends comes by and we work on the cars. Last weekend we worked on brake for my neighboor, my headlights, transmission fluid change. Next weekend is waxing, two weeks later is supension job for WRX, three weekends later is Go-Kart racing at City of Naperville!!! (kinda off the topic)

Anyone interested goto

I guess everyone is DYI black housing now...and here I thought I was the only badass dude around...J/K haha your lights looks great! Hope no finger print got into the case when you pull it out. Mine did but fairly noticable. And also if you have HID, hope you have hi-temp paint just to be on the safe side...I did!

I so want to do this but after doing it twice on my Focus I really don't want to bother. I did mine back when we were using heat guns and hair dryers to seperate the halves. No one ever thunk to bake them. In fact here is the how-to I wrote up about two years ago. Link

And here is a question for those that have done it. How does the seal look when it it done. Doesn't the sealant look all gooey and blochy?? When I did mine on the Focus I scraped all the factore sealant off and resealed them using automotive grade silicone. It just never did look good where the halves joined.

i just did mine last nite...took not long at all...i was talking to mike on AIM about my calipers i painted this weekend and he was bragging like an ass about his headlights, so i had to go and one-up him! unfortunately it was raining and bad out today so i couldnt take better pics of the calipers OR the headlights, but keep an eye out in the photo section tommorrow hopefully.

i dont know about his, but mine sealed up like crazy...plus its got three little vents to let s*** evaporate out
