I finally dynoed

My only perf mods are a Forge BOV & a custom 2.5" turbo-back. I was hoping to turn the stock crank #s into whp & wtq #s...I came close & I'm happy with the results.


The 1st chart is 3rd gear & the 2nd is 4th gear.

I can hear the sound of my exhaust change at 4k, so I'm not surprised by the spike on the 1st chart. I'm not sure about the up & down action before that point though. I'd love to be able to get a FMIC eventually to combat the FL heat & hopefully keep my hp & especially my tq from dropping off.
 
How much did cybernation charge you to dyno your car? Thats just with turboback exhaust and bov?

I was there for the Team DC5 dyno meet & they had $10 dyno pulls. The only perf mods are what I listed.
 
Nice numbers for just an exhaust.... looks like you gained probably 10-15 hp from it. The car really loses alot because of the erratic a/fs. I hope to solve those issues soon. :D

Hopefully I can hit 170whp whenever I get a SRI. Keep me updated on your project...an S-AFC would be a much more affordable option for me than the other ECU mods available. I am aware of all the extras you have to buy to make it work though. :(
 
I have 45 pics from the event & vids of both of my runs...there were 2 other MSPs there, but only 1 of them dynoed. He said he had an Injen CAI & a Forge BOV & I believe he got 153whp...don't remember the tq # though.
 
Cool just wondering, Im guessing you did not dyno before you did the mods? Anyone else dyno stock, just curious to see the difference in peoples cars stock.

Nope...I don't feel like paying the prices that most places charge for a dyno. I know I have seen some stock dynos on here, so if you search, I'm sure you'll find them.
 
in the two mags that have done build ups on our car (import racer and turbo) stock HP was 153 to the wheels in both magazines.

dyno numbers are totally dependant on the INDIVIDUAL car, the Dyno they used, and the conditions of the dyno test... so if one magazine got 153, that doesnt mean every msp will get 153.

Very true...it felt like it was 110 degrees out, but I had to wait until 6PM until my turn came up & it probably cooled off to 85 something by then. Their fan setup wasn't great either.

LOL, It sure looks that way on the 3rd gear chart. I know I'm boosting way before that, but I think that's where the ECU makes the big fuel change.
