i always laugh when i see people with curbed rims but i finally ****** up myself and curbed two of my slipstreams. wouldn't be so bad but they are black. i was DUIing at the time so i deserve it! my question is how to fix this, you guys think some touch up paint will do the trick or should i paint all four rims?

no camera right now but ill try and get soem pics. as for the DUIing, ya, i know its not cool. i never set out to do it but somehow it happens.

You should probably go to the police station and tell them what happened. I'm sure they have some tips that could help you out.

Dumbass.

lol

why do people really care? it was his car his life his rims and his bad if he killed someone. but yea sucks for your rims

I understand it was a stupid thing to do, and I'm pretty sure so does he. No one got hurt, so everything's cool.

Now that we got that out of the way, can we get over ourselves and answer the question of how to repair the scuffed rim?

(bump)

ok, thanks for all the lecturing. if i wanted to be lectured on the pros and cons of drunk driving i would have watched an after school special. in my defense, it was about 4am in a town where nobody is out that late, ever! and drove all of a mile and a half. i hit a curb in the parking lot of my apt complex. ne way. for those who have painted rims, should i sand first or just primer and paint? if sanding is involved im just going to say **** it and to touch ups. im not sanding four rims.

ya, I'd like to do mine too. I scuffed mine, and I was sober! lmao.

Maybe try touch-up first. The Duplicolor wheel paint in black is pretty close to Rota's black. Just spray some in a cup (messy) and try to brush it just on the scuffs (clean first with alcohol, you should have that (wink) ). Otherwise, you just have to sand the rims to scuff them, not all the way to the metal. Sand, clean with lacquer thinner or alcohol, use a tack cloth, then paint.
