Hypertech Max Energy Sport CAI Update Now Available!

I replied to your pm. Just wanted everyone else to know it looks lik a stripped bolt on my bpv is the likely culprit for my dtc. I had a spare cold pipe on hand, and re-installed the tune. Everything seems ok, but I am still seeing ltft's at -12.5 -13 at idle. So not exactly where we would like them to be, but not going to cause a check engine light. will keep everyone updated on my progress.

Well that was not the problem. On the way to work this morning ltft's started working their way up from a -12 to -20 & sure as s*** threw a P2188. Seems like 70-80 miles is how long it takes for the ecu to start adjusting to things. Have pm'd chris, and gone back to stock tune. I'm really starting to loose my sense of humor with this !!!!!

Going to put a 100 miles on the stock tune, and monitor everything like a hawk. Then wait for a response from Chris. Will keep this updated.

Sure everything is tight post MAF, pre-turbo? Unmetered air here can cause all kinds of wacky effects....

Pretty positive, but going to give it another going over this weekend. Right after the tune the trims are 0, and just keep working their way higher as the miles get around 70, or so until the light comes on.

I have a couple 3 hundred on the tune. ltft seem to be plus 7~9 no lights seems fine, did just last nite get a email from chris regarding the KR deal he confirms no a big deal as it stands, also further researched the corrrect CAI i should have chosen for my spectre maf was the corksport, not the injen
have not driven since then, but will proly get out later today

is the correct addy

Just got mine....removed limiter in 1st & 2nd...after 30 miles, my crusing and idle ltft's are the same as stock (+3.9 to +4.7) but are 0 with any boost (haven't really hit it yet) as opposed to +7 on stock tune.

Feels great...just what the doctor ordered...will report back after a few runs and dashhawk runs.

I have driven on the tune for about 800 miles, without any issues. The car runs strong with power up to and beyond 6500 rpm. This is what the MS3 needed.(drive2)

Good to hear, what intake are you running ? I went out at lunch with the stock tune, and I'm seeing -9 at idle, and 0 in boost same as before. I want to put a bunch more miles, and verify it stays consistent.

Just installed my Reflash and 1st and 2nd impressions are good, but for some reason my car sounded like it pinged or something at 5K/rpm in 3rd...I'll have to get the dealer to check and see if the fins on the turbo is hitting the housing. SIGH, cuz no power it seems. very strange, but then again its HOT today so maybe that has something to do with it, I didn't get any reading on KR so that's good. I'll take it out on a longer drive later and see how it does on the highway at steady speed etc.

the price differences i see with this thing are amazing. last i saw online was around $400, and a local supplier had them for $525, +$50 for them to get the newest update.

i want this soooo bad cuz i fit right into the demographic. all i have is a mazdaspeedCAI and i'd like a little more power without changing any physical equipment. in addition, i'd love to have a piece of gear that will allow me to read and erase codes as needed. last time i had codes i had to go to autozone for them to pull it and i still couldn't truly erase the code (battery disconnect doesn't fully erase). luckily i fixed the problem and got a body shop to lend me their scan tool so i could erase all stored DTC's

Okay, finally got a chance to open it up and I have to say 1st and 2nd pulls like a monster as soon as 2800 rpm, funny thing is if I shift early say 4500 rpm into 3rd then rump on the gas well it kinda falls flat on it's face with no real power but still rev's quickly...very strange, anyone else have this problem?

Dude, again with the crazy detail think. You'd never hear the "turbo's fins hitting the housing" sounding like engine ping. If the turbos fins hit the housing, you'd get low boost and, eventually the wheel would grenade and run through the engine.

A turbo car being a little flat on a hot day in NORMAL.

These can be had for under $350 shipped.

Cp-e nano...ms3 CBE...

I hope your right bro, just concerns me, I've heard some locals with fins hitting so, best to get it checked out anyhow, can't hurt right.

Anyone else have the lack of power with your Reflash when its hot and humid out? from 4k to 5500 RPM?

You probably had that lack of power stock too. You will always have less power when it is hot and humid, especially at the beginning of summer, cause you are used to cooler, less humid temps
