My engine took a s*** last night after my Page Mill run.

$2500.

My mechanic doesn't even know what exactly happened. But we came to the conclusion that it'd be cheaper to get a new engine than to rebuild this one.

So I am getting a rebuilt JDM engine with about 30k miles on it.

I love my mechanic. He's already taken the old engine out, waiting on delivery of the new one.

Will have my baby back on Monday.

The redline is set in the ECU.

I have the car, it's sitting in my driveway. I'm down for something maybe during the week sometime or something, I dont want to flog it in the Mountains JUST yet.

I'm cool off power mods for now, or well, until I get beat by a civic. I am looking for some wheels right now after I get the registration and all that other s*** dealt with so I know how much money I have to play with, but I am accepting donations.

No, actually I was cruising down the freeway and I hear a loud bang and then the engine started jerking and stalled. I rolled to the side, popped the hood, scratched my neck. I checked my fluids, checked for leaks... Fired her back up and she was clacking and grinding like no tomorow. I limped her home. The good ole lifter noise was still there, but now there was also loud slapping of metal against metal and lots of crunching and whining from the engine.

We won't know for sure till the mechanic tears the thing apart and takes a closer look. He took the valve cover off and all the valves along with their buckets seemed fine, so

Whatever it was, it managed to crack the valve cover ,but at the same time I was able to drive home (which probably finished off the engine.)
