Yeah, it is the exact same engine.

Unfortunately, the 2000 has VVT and my ('99) ECU doesn't know what to do with it.

The mechanic and I both agreed that it'd be a better idea to just get an engine from a '99.

Ahh, I have a Japanese engine with no EGR system on it. No gooda for smog. But I guess the turbo wouldn't be either

Yea, we went to the bank and when we came back the dude was washing and polishing the car all nice. The Potenza RE92 is _THE WORST_ tire ever made for tarmac driving. I was taking the fourth hairpin downhill on pagemill and the ******* rear end broke loose, I was only doing like 40. WTF is that!@# Otherwise I love the car and I am addicted to boost.
