Hwy 9 Fun Run!

Just sold this to my dad tonight (I am in sales at the moment):

2004 Grand Touring with 13k... It is funny. about 13 years ago he was teaching me how to drive a stick. It was a 1954 GMC pickup 3 speed. Now I have to teach him how to drive this thing. He stalled it once, and he keeps shifting when it "sounds" like it should be shifted, like at 3k RPM. I got in and passed some traffic on the freeway in 2nd gear as a demo. He will get it...
 
We all have different level of driving experiences. My hardest might be your easiest, so if I were to drive with you I'd be slowing you down. First time I went driving with Nate, I felt like I was slowing him down completely, which killed all his fun at the twisties. So, easy run for me as normal driving just crusing, while for you it's probably grandma driving. Answer good enough for you?

exactly, I don't wanna go slow and you don't wanna go fast, if everyone drove at their own pace then everyone would be happy, sorry for being eggy

or even better if you don't wanna risk any damage to your car I'm sure we could find a seat or two somewhere ;)

well it just kind of sucks when you go for a drive with a friend but after the first corner, you dont see them for like 5 mins. when 2 people are driving at their own pace and their paces are totally opposite of eachother, it almost defeats the purpose of driving together right?
 
It's all gravy~ I gotta follow someone when I go up there because I'm not familiar with the roads. Yet, I don't wanna slow anybody down while they're at their peak of fun. So, I thought if someone was going on an "crusing" run or grandma run, I might be down for one.

EDIT: Roy got the point I'm trying to make, thanks. It sucks when English isn't your first language, hard to express what you're trying to say in your head.

No worries, Jliao. If you need a "Nicky Grist", I'm for hire. My confidence-building techniques have been used by many, and with great results. It's simple, I'll just start out by giving you some advice where the double-apex turns are, and where the tighening apex turns are hiding.

From there on, I'll start mildly chuckling just enough for you to hear, as the group starts pulling away.

Several minutes later, we'll enter Phase III, where I go back to my Military days and turn into a psychotic Drill Instructor and bark orders at you (complete with flying spittle at no extra charge!).

You'll hear such things as:

"C'mon cupcake! You're holding up the ******* line!"

"Jesus-*******-christ I've seen retards with syphillus drive faster than this."

"Stomp that ******* gas pedal! STOMP IT! STOMP IT'S ******* BRAINS OUT!"

"WHO TOLD YOU TO LEFT-FOOT BRAKE? WHO ******* GAVE YOU PERMISSION TO USE YOUR LEFT FOOT?!?!"

It will be an honor to share my skills with you, and to help you to help yourself.....

Hahah, that's probably what I need! But by the end of the road, you'll probably be looking up the road from the bottom of the hills though. :D
 
**** yea I'm so down to be someone's co-driver, I know every corner on our favorite roads by heart


as a matter of fact me and Natey, (and Jimmy if he wants), should take other people up there in their own cars and teach them how to take a corner or two

No royalties will be paid to doc wong :D

sup guys i went out on saturday night with a couple of friends and met a guy in a fc. Did pretty damn good for a stock car. Didnt catch his name. He said he used to drive a wrx. He showed us a couple roads i havent been to. BTW thanks for waiting for my friends who were driving at a slow ass pace. Try not to slide into anymore ditches. Lol.
