Hwy 9 Fun Run!

I was just over at i-club reading that stupid thread. Honestly, I don't even understand why I took my time to read it. First of all, about half of posters on that tread sound like a 16 years old kid who just got their licence and mommy got them a WRX/STi; whom, never dealt with real business such as Rishie. I found couple of threads that are pretty stupid too, "Please sign up to be an authorize vendor so you can then reply to the thread." (Wow, you have to take the time to be an authorize vendor to explain what happend? **** that! **** that board, **** the admin and the people on that board). Second of all, who cares if he's and others are bashing on AutoRnD? It's not like like Rishie will go out of business with that stupid fuckface. His got bigger things to worry about than that retard. Lastly, people that have dealt with AutoRnD knows how they are, no need to emphasize it more -- AutoRnD #1 !!!

Also, Andrew, I feel honor to have a Protege driver like you willing to step it up. I wish I have a Protege runs like yours and have driving skills like you. Good job.....*Award*

On the side note:
OH SHI... YOU BEEN SERVED !!!

Screw this autocross stuff, real men street race. Find a school zone and duke it out like real men would, not running around chasing cones !
This is one of the quote I found. If this guy is serious, then he's a dumbass and I hope he dies while racing on the street, or get sent to jail for life. If he's joking, then he's still a dumbass because it's not even a funny joke. (IMO)

P.S. This thread rocks... <3

I haven't had a chance to get the other T1S remounted so...

Who has Tokico Illuminas, how much were they, and how is the ride? I plan to get those asap. Which Tokico's comes with springs (or coilovers) already? Please PM me this if so I can purchase them soon. I will probs purchase them from Rishie along with some rims and tires. I want the whole thing done at once so please PM me some good info. I have 1500 in scholarship money so I plan to use it on my suspen., rims, and tires. Tell me if thats enough or if i need more money saved up. Also tell me if i should get 17's or 18's for my ride, consider that I am a daily driver and I dont want anything to go wrong.

Thanks again,

messing with the car = something will go wrong...eventually....there are low risk mods and high risk mods...i hear even aftermarket wheels can wear out bearings a little bit faster and that with low profile tires you get a harder ride which puts more stress on chassis and suspension components like cv's....

If P5 is your daily transportation then you don't need Illuminas. They're 5 way adjustable which you won't be adjusting since the P5 is your daily driver. In fact, I doubt you would wanna take apart your rear trunk just to adjust the settings. Now, as far as I know, there aren't any Tokico that comes with springs, but you can get the springs along with the struts as a package deal from Rishie, or your other option is coilover such as Tein or JIC(but Rishie don't carry JIC anymore).
Now, since you said your budget is 1500, a fully set of coilover will round you around 1200 w/o installation; whereas Tokico Blues/Illuminas with springs can get you around 600ish w/o installation. Then you can use the rest of $$ to get a set of Rotas or something..

My advice is to go with Tokico Blues + Tein or Eibach springs, then use the rest of the money for the Rotas. This will probably go out of your 1500 budget (only few hundres or less) after completion, but it's probably the closest you'll get with 1500 with the nicest setup. Also, if P5 is your daily driver, don't bother with Illuminas unless you plan on autoxing or something, else I seriously doubt you would wanna take apart the rear trunk just to adjust few settings (I think they're adjustable on top of the struts).

If you're looking for opinion on Tokico Blues + Eibach, then Roy and Tony here has them. Ask them see if they can take you for a spin to get the feel of the ride quality.

tokico hp struts would be a much better choice if its going to be your daily driver. as far as springs, you might want to go with h&r's or eibach prokit springs.

pm me your cell # so maybe i can swing by your house and pick up my wheel.

1. So has anybody here got any clue on how to install axles?

2. Does anybody here want to help me install my new axles?
