Likewise. From reading the list of mods, your car sounds like it is a complete blast to drive.
I'm usually home, in town, on Wed - Sat. Drop me a line if you want to meet up and discuss mountain run logistics.
These upcoming weeks will be tight, I have a Rally Cross to attend with the SFRSCCA, then I'm going up to Sonora to install a Rover V8 into a Spitfire.

Glad to be here. I was beginning to think that there were no other hwy9 nuts to get ahold of.

Glad to see you made your way over here! (drinks)
Maybe next week sometime we can all hook up for a fun run or something.
A Rover V8? Is that guy a glutton for punishment, or is he going all British? Seems to me a Chevy or Ford motor would be much easier to get parts for around here. More reliable and powerful, too. No?

It's turning into an Olds/Rover V8, with lots of internal and external mods. I don't know all the particulars, I've just been in awe during the whole process.
The V8 is going to be 40lbs heavier than the stock inline four cylinder, that much I can tell you.
Also, you have to take into account that this engine is going into a MkII 1964 Triumph Spitfire, which is plenty of "oomph" for his purposes. He doesn't want something capable of warp-speed, just something to drive up the mountains of Sonora, get sideways, and have fun.
