Don't need to try it. Already experienced it whilst reversing into my garage!
Brake on or off?

Damn tree branches set off my frontal SCBS again today. Foot was on the brake pedal ever so slightly. Probably the 5th time this has happened. I neeed to trim those low hanging branches.
Also great to see the speed limit beside it, just in case.
I have mine set to go red when exceeding 10 MPH over. You can set it to 3, 5 or 10 MPH over I think.

I never had HUD until I bought my '13 GS350 that had it. Then I couldn't live without it. My A4 doesn't have it but it has a digital display in the middle of the speedo. I love being able to just glance at it and see what speed I'm going because, honestly, I always drive over the speed limit. So, when we got the CX-5 I had to have it, and I'm glad I got it. How is TSR on the HUD?
Useless for stop sign? How so?It's wonderful for the speed limits! Next to useless for stop signs. If you were getting the HUD I would suggest making sure you get TSR as well. It's especially helpful when travelling on roads you don't always travel.
As someone else noted you can have the sign highlighted when travelling over the limit by a certain amount, which is useful as well.

I think its because the sign on the HUD comes on about 1 car length away or less, which is kinda too late.

Ahh ok. On my 3 (which my HUD experience is from) I had to get "tech package" over and above the "premium package" to get TSR. Premium gave the HUD without TSR. Tech added TSR.
I've been yearning for the wiper deicer for ages. But it isn't worth buying a Subaru.
I feel like US folks should definitely get the premium package considering it was set up this way.
(seat memory, power seats, heated seats, and heated steering wheel was part of GT in Canada)

It is very odd that the Canada folk have to opt for Colour Multi-Information Display. Over here it is standard even on base model Maxx.
