How-To: Tint your turn Signals (or Tail Lights)

ya your gunna need light to shine through your turn signals.. you need those. You can get pulled over for not usuing a turn signal..my only guess is that youll get pulled over for not having them

light does shine through them, they are just dark when no light is on them, like when i have them on u can still see it blinking fine, it is just a lil dimmer.... nd looks so much better during the day than those silly amber lights, and cheaper than buyin new clear ones.

Here are pics of my tails after using niteshades. Very light coats i didn't want the really really dark look. In all honesty if you didn't know I used niteshades on them you prolly would not even notice that they were darker (even p5 owners). Light clear coats on them too but prolly could use a heavier coat to bring out more shine.

Thats the look I want on my 22v!!!! And with the front bumper corners!

Just to clarify because I am thinking about doing this, this is to paint/tint the outside of the bulb housing, correct? So I would just be sanding and spraying the housing? Thx

looks like you flipped your front bumper markers. any reasons why?

They were like that when I bought the car! The car have been in a minor accident and the guy changed the bumper. Maybe he was wasted on beer!

Anyway, I like more the "reversed" look than the original. but that's just me!

wow, nicely done, i want that kind of look, any tips?just thin coat of the VHT shade spray and clear coat?

really thin coats, let dry between coats 15 minutes (while you're letting them dry, take 'em out outside and see how they look in the sun.

then you apply more coats until desired colour.

3x 2 light coats made the job for me!

Than you put some clear on. Don't wax them the same day! Wait 2-3 weeks before washing them or waxing them! Let them dry the core!

i took it too far.

nah dude they look good as long as you can still see light through them they should be fine. the plastic covers that people buy and put on are straight black so there is really no difference

I just did this and it looked good till I did the clear coat. Now it looks foggy. Like white-ish. Solution?
