How-To: LED Interior / Reverse / Licence plate lights

Yeah, like UHATEIT I got my LEDs in 2 days (I live in NorCal). I have to say, with my LED tails and white LED license plate lights... I literally have to clean my pants up every time I take a look at the back end of my car. Its just pure sex at night like I don't even know how to explain it.

<- i haz led tail lights, clear reflectors, led turn signals and white led lights on the license plate. only color on the back of my vehicle is the red coming from the led brakes

and kyle - i'm definitely down to help with the resistors. i never got bulb out of the assembly, maybe we can drop my bumper as your paint dries! hahahaha

What do the LED turn signals look like philly? Do those come stock because I've never really looked at the back of my car with all the lights going off and what not since I'm always driving it

I ended up doing this because I hated the orange look in the reflector. Phillyb came over and saw it and thoguht it was pretty dope so he did it too. He changed all the reflectors to clear so everything is clear. I don't hjave a picture of mine blinking, but they are much brighter than the amber bulbs. But when they are off the bowl is clear and doesn't reflect all nasty orange. Here is a picture of that when they are off:

not stock. our turn signal bulbs are a standard yellow color. i replaced them with clear leds that light up yellow. when they're not blinking, you see clear from the rear, not a yellow bulb. i like the look a lot better, it was uhateit who suggested it to me

the ones for the rear turn signals were size 7440 and they have 15 led's in them. if you are ordering everything off superbrightleds.com it was $5 shipping for all of my bulbs together. i got the map, glove, dome, trunk, plate, and rear signals all together. I believe the 7440 are about $6 each. I picked them sicne they look clear when off and got the ones that light up amber/orange when lit. It's pretty bright at night, moreso than the stock bulbs and look coller because they dont reflect in the bowl when off

the 7440 bulbs just push in they arent round at the bottom, they just push right in.

as for the vanity, I have never opened mine, do they light up? if so that would be pretty cool to do those too! Niot sure the bulb size tho

The 3022-x9 festoon bulb doesn't fit in my trunk/cargo light, its a different size than the dome light. Anyone else have this problem?

nope. my problem is that i ****** up my cargo light. those are definitely the same size bulb in my car. you have 08.5 i'm assuming since your s*** is white. i wonder if it was changed

it will fit force it in its the same size as the light in there

I dont know if they changed it or not but they are definitely not the same size.
Those wled-x5 wide angle are a weird fit for the map lights too...

cargo light is 28mm and the led is 31mm, its just a tad too big to fit in the holder.

I had to bend the right connector a bit for the trunk light to fit.

yeah you kind of have to force it in there a bit, just dont lose the bulb or break anything! But I stuck one of the pointed ends further in at an angle then forced the other one. It will fit, worked for me

I already dropped the bulb once into the trunk lining but good thing for that little access panel. I bent out the right connector a bit and it still didnt want to fit in properly, I'll try it when I actually have some daylight to see what I'm doing.

I couldn't resist....this is way too inexpensive and easy to do.....I feel like such a ricer.....but such a happy ricer...(eek2)

I must have been drunk last night or something, popped in the cargo LED in 5seconds today, I may have bent the left connector over with my thumb a tad so it fits.

ndedomin are those side marker turn signals or the turn signals in the headlights that you ordered? I'm interested to see some pictures regardless.

the 7440X15 are for the rear turn signals. Looks nice and clear when off. If you have the GT it will look best since all your rear will look clear when turned off. phillyb did it with the clear reflectors as well so everything is clear, looks tits!
