How to: Install Angel Eyes on your 3!

Nice Look

WOW!! They really do look good. I mean that.
However, as an older codger, is it really worth it? I've seen these kits starting for $100+ on eBay Motors. This for something that actually sheds no light to help the driver see better, but instead just glows. Both the auctions I have seen and you say how delicate/brittle they are. And the installation you describe is one that only one so dedicated to appearance or challenge would go though for these results.
What about in actual use? I can't imagine how long these things might last in the real world. Going over a set of railroad tracks might harm them. And if one does burn out, or is broken due to accident or shock, you have to got through this entire scenario all over again?
I was thinking about trying this to my '04-3-5, but after your description of the installation, I think I'll leave it up to those that are more dedicated to the art form. I'll stick to the simpler, more power profitable MODs. But... (rockon)

umnitza: I'd be honored if you did :D Just make sure to mention that I made it and it's all great :D
Because normal people like you disappear while the riff-raff over runs various places;) You know exactly what I'm talking about.

Hey I just wanted to thank Umnitza for getting me a new ballast when my other one died, had it within a week, Angels eyes own.

Hey. The installation guide is great. I was just wondering if anyone had the pictures of the front bumper removal? I cant seem to get this thing off. I removed a couple of screws but I think there are these plastic ones inside holding the bumper together with the fender. I cant reach it. Not sure if this is all I have to do. I dont have fogs so that shouldnt be a problem.

Here's a pic. The yellow arrows is where I took screws off. The red arrows is where these plastic things I'm talking about are. The red scratch is exactly where they are on the inside.

Did you unscrew the bumper to fender screws?? they are upside down and IIRC a pair on each side. Then you gotta pull the bumper outwards to get the plastic clips to unhook.

sorry to bring up an old and dead thread, but i have to ask, do you have to have daytime running lights already on your car to have them on all the time the car is on or doing it the way the guide says will turn the angel eyes into day time running lights?

Easy. Find an ignition switchable circuit and tap the relay switch wire into that. Connect the master power on the relay directly to the battery terminal/cable and there you have it.
With the master fuse box (and battery) on the LS inner fender, that shouldn't be hard at all.

I've got the one's off of ebay and they work fine too, and they are cheaper.

Also, I connected mine to my parking lights, just spliced into those wires. Is that a bad idea? Just curious on your opinion since seems like up recently now the HALO's weren't so popular on Mazdas.

Send the pics again...

Hey Brother. The pics are not showing... can you sent it again? at least in the same sequence?

Cheers bro!

for real....im doing this friday and need some much needed help. nervous about a few things and ill be less anxious upon some picture help

Think we can get the pics re-hosted? I'm replacing my headlight bulb and can't reclamp the latch, so I wanna take out the whole thing out to re-clamp it.

Unless someone can answer my question...
in this thread.
