How To: headlight black out for P5!

i kinda lost one of the screws holding the lens on....i'm guessing thats bad?

done painting! gonna let it dry for 45 more minutes then stick it all back together...minus that screw i lost

well i'm done, waiting a few more minutes for the silicone sealant i added to dry a little more then I'll put them back on the car

i couldnt get my housings apart... did you use 200 for temp or higher?

We did 200, but definitely not for very long... We had it in there for 1-3 minutes, tops.

When you're prying it apart, it helps to have a utility knife handy to cut away at the silicon.

I use 200 degrees for 6-8 min, I also baked the painted piece seperate to make sure paint was dry. The silcone is way overkill and not needed, unless you pulled all the glue of yours they'll seal perfect, I dont think anyones ever had leaks that stuck them back together tight.

First off, I want to thank you for a glorious write-up! Made life so easy this past weekend. I did wind up breaking the bumper tabs at the headlights though. And, somehow wound up with 2 extra 10mm bolts. Eitherway, Here's the results

And, went a step further and did the rear bumper as well

I actually went to pickup a Black Mica 03 with all the little things mine doesn't have... tweeter pods, side markers, moon roof etc. But it was gone by the time I went to take a look at it.... so I gave that all up and got this one. It seems I've had her forever.... don't regret it.... yet.

I've been wanting to get rid of the rack for some time now.... but I havn't seen anyone intrested in it.

Not yet bro, Either may or august, dunno yet..Im ready to get back to my car which is being ***** right now by my friend...I had to leave it up at my moms in washington and my friend drives it...im scared to see how many miles it has on it but one of my friends, who is a fellow member here (blynd_spy) is keeping up on all the maintenance for me so he is a godsend, hes about to do my 60k tune-up for me
